Course Description
Please note that this is not a "full taxi app", it's definitely lacks some functionality before you can either sell it or deploy it to a app store. It doesn't have any fare monitoring or payment functionality. I see this sort of a "early access" version of the course, and I intend on updating it based on my students requests in the future. First of all, I'm excited to see how my students take in the hours of content there already is.
That being said, I hope you will enjoy this course, and if you have any questions or request, don't hesitate to message me or use Udemy's Q&A. Thank you!
Hello and welcome to my little course!
In this course you will learn how to make a very basic taxi app in React Native. You will learn how to make a side both for the driver and passenger, and how to make the two devices communicate with each other.
You'll learn how to install and use react-native-maps, how to use Google Maps API's to get places suggestions and routes.
You'll learn how to send a request from a passenger to a driver, and updating the passenger with the driver location.

Course is nice, good instructor skills, the only thing which i find it difficult for me to refactor the code along the way to Expo project settings, as the course uses bare react project, but still i give 5 stars from my side. and bare react project is I am not famaliar with , thats why I am using Expo.

Skipped some key elements of the course. Such as setup of the different screens (passenger, driver etc) used in the App

it would be good if author explained using expo. Most people go with expo as things are easy and already setup. Also it would be good to have this explained in functional component.

It was easy and good to understand, I think we are making a basic taxi app so there should be functionality to grab a location from Map with moving the pin on Map

I loved this course because it started teaching you how to use google maps from the beginning, and of course the basics of react native, maybe it missed to teach how to deploy the app we built but in general it's a great course that will give you a lot of knowledge. Thank you!! :)

The course was really good. Concepts are clearly explained and its easy to follow. I will urge the author to extend the backend to be able to handle multiple request/users.
