This course is excellent, Ryan Charles covered so so much in just 4 hours. Many thanks for this, I am an active user of FCPX and when the course started was not very enthusiastic about learning something new, but I was so wrong! I really recommend this course to everyone, newbies, intermediate, or even advanced users of FCPX! 10 points out of 10!

Very good course showing the basics of FCPX. I had FCPX for a youtube channel and taught myself to use it. That channel has been dormant for years, but was recently was asked by a friend to help edit some video. This course helped reacquaint me with FCPX

Being a beginner, I learned lots of ways to edit a Video file and now I understand some of the cryptic jargons, well yes for me they were really cryptic. I would suggest this course for anyone want to start using FCPX for editing their videos. Great course, well done.

I apologize if I missed anything, but as near as I can tell there seem to be serious gaps in the instruction for getting started. For one thing, downloading the camera masters is a single button, but nothing tells you that two zip files will be downloaded. Due to their nearly identical size as they download, it is not unreasonable for a user to assume a duplicate is being downloaded, and cancel the second one. Also, none of the video clips were Finder tagged, contrary to what the instructor implies. I had to go in and Finder tag all the clips myself in order to duplicate the import scenario presented. Not as simple as it sounds, since the video files are not uniformly distributed in the two zip files. For example, MVI_4228 is in one folder, while MVI_4227 and MVI_4229 are in another folder. There is a lot of that. The instructor speaks like the FedEx guy, so it is basically a four hour course that would be a six hour course at normal conversation speed. Lastly, the interface has changed since the course was created in 2018, and certain items have moved and functions tweaked. Yet I could find no update PDF concerning this, as instructors in other courses have provided.

Pretty intense course. But VERY informative. Yes, you have to repeat things many times, but hey, this is s career that many artists spend a lifetime perfecting, to expect anything less than total emersion is expecting to be a great Wizard without going to Hogwarts. And don;t think gifted magicians didn’t have to study.!

Good course so far. As a beginner (only into the first few lectures), it's quite high pace and downloading the course material was slightly cumbersome. However, the instructor has a pleasant way of speaking (as said a little on the fast side) and explains clearly and in understandable terms.

Great pace! Good info. The tagging media in the Getting started was super useful but I think it was a bit drawn out. This course is very detailed. The instructor is very knowledgable. Im happy I get to use this course as a reference in the future. This is worth way more than what I paid!

Once the files are sorted out it got better. I still wonder why the lines for a general training video are rated PG for language.. Seems like a rated G content would have been a better choice since you never know the audience.

It would be nice to have the sample media as a link I can download instead of Google Doc . But I am loving every moment of this training. This is one of the BEST FCPX reviews and trainings out there. I use it all the time.

I am a bit disappointed. There certainly are some good jewels in here. It was very fast paced and certainly geared toward someone who already has a good knowledge of video editing. If you are new to video editing and do not know the lingo, I recommend a different course. Additionally, I am irritated that the course materials were not available to download. I posted the question as to where I could get these materials and no one has replied for 4 days now. I am just about done with the course now. Very frustrating to me. Very unprofessional in my opinion.
