I am not happy with this course. and i faced many difficulty of understand because in this course have not provided any practical knowledge. this course not good for freelancing, this is a scam

I am 40 plus year career student, A media company, A distance learning champion and TJ Walker is one of the most passionate Instructors in the world I think. This course is 5 stars for too many reasons to list in a comment section but if I had to sum it up in a few words "constant improvement through student feedback". Freelance is hard work until you get this course. You learn how to handle some of the pit-falls and gain from TJ's life experiences through memorable stories. He said one time he was giving an in-person lecture at some corporation about dress code as he looked down to notice his socks or shoes didn't match; had me dying laughing it was so funny but you learn what a professional does in situations like those as you become an expert. This course has a smooth flow to it sit back, relax and enjoy.

I enjoyed this course! I learned many useful tips about how to speak in public. The teacher, Mr. T.J. Walker, has a great ability to communicate in a way that feels like his speaking directly to you. By sharing stories and anecdotes, he made it easy for me to remember his lessons. I believe this course is the most complete out there, containing valuable tips that a person that goes into freelancing should remember and practice at all times. His guidelines on how-to-speak, in public or to an audience or to a potential client, are so valuable. I feel enriched with all the information I learned in this course! Great course on freelancing, especially the first parts helped me a lot. Afterward, towards the end, there was a lot of information regarding (media)presentations, for me often too much information with too many personal stories that didn't really interest me but many thanks for your great effort on making this freelancing course and trying to add even more information around it.

This is some of what i learned from this amazing course: A freelancer should never call him/herself a freelancer. To specialize deeply in one thing and increase my price without negotiating it. How to be a professional (starting by never making my customer wait, having everything ready with plans b and c if any emergency occurs, focusing on the positives and….) If I use video, I eliminate a huge part of my competition. No matter how good I am, a lot of people won’t like me, and it’s ok. Humbleness from TJ who tells funny stories about himself just to teach us a lesson. Never give up especially when bad things happen. And I learned many things that I don’t recall right now...I just want to stress that it's an amazing course given from the heart and in a professional way.

The first section gives you a list of freelancing sites to use. Then is just him talking on screen about acting, public speaking. Never goes through how to make a profile on any of these websites like upwork or fiverr or goes on any depth about the online sites. It's just a lot of basic talk.... I'm disappointed. =/

Not sure the visual/audio experience has any benefit over just reading the transcript. I think my reading comprehension is better than my listening. Perhaps adding another visual dimension, like graphics, would compensate for this.

This course is a great match, in fact the list of client sites alone pays for the course, in addition to this the knowledge brought to the table well enable me to obtain the knowledge necessary to begin developing a successful freelance business.

This course is exactly what I was looking for. It is very motivating while at the same time being very realistic. That is, he does not set unrealistic or unobtainable goals. This intructor, TJ, is the best! He asks his students to post comments and responds very quickly. I can't recommend this course highly enough!

This is one of the most comprehensive courses on Udemy that I have come across. Like a good book, I could not stop continuing to the next lecture. TJ does an excellent job on covering various aspects of Public Speaking, and it certainly is a key aspect of a Consultant / Coach / Guru (just don't say "Freelance" - astute tip from TJ) endeavor, or even just as an employee. My only critique is that at the end, I realized it is a valuable course, but was not exactly what I was expecting for one labeled the "Complete Freelancing Course". I'm not disappointed though, as there are plenty of great actionable tips for every student on Udemy, and TJ far exceeds the typical quality that I find here on Udemy. Worthy of six stars on that alone.
