its an okay course as an introduction to splunk and how to use it, for that i found it very useful, the test sections in the course however focus too much on random theory facts that feel more like gotcha trivia like "what port is the default used for X", this is information that is easily searchable and not worth memorizing in my opinion, a lot of questions felt writen this way instead of aiming to test the practical use of splunk or SPL.

Taking a live Splunk course soon. want to spend my time utilizing it to the best of my abilities. This course is doing a good job helping me understand the format of Splunk as someone who Works only with Kibana. This in addition to a few Hunt exercises are making me more comfortable using it for the way I will be using it as a SIEM

I'm really enjoying the presenter's speech style and getting good information from the course thus far.

Great course and great teacher. Improvement axis: 1) the section about the installation on multiple OS is the biggest and even if useful is not the core of the course, that should be the queries 2) the examples and materials provided are few and sometimes the pace of the course was too quick, even if i used splunk in the past. I suggest to add more slides and more practical examples. 3) the test at the end were far to complex. The first one is achievable but the second is really impossible based on the knowledge acquired here

Adequate to understand what splunk is and guides you with a lot of stuff, There is nothing to practice much on it some basic stuff, I would recommend using splunk sandbox or any other splunk practice data online to get proficient. What else could you expect in a 3 hour course. I am a SOC Analyst and the reason I learnt this is not to get good at splunk but only to understand SPL and use it for threat hunting

This course goes straight to the point with the installation on Splunk and how to search & visualize data. The total of 3.5 hours worth of videos is important for someone who just want to get into learning how Splunk works in general fast. There's just a small issue with the CIM Demo in Section 8 (#40) where it's a duplicate video of #39. Other than that, I really liked this course.

Very user-friendly to many differences between the lecture material and the real update site

The 39th and 40th video on CIM models are the same. Other than that the information given was very helpful. Please fix the 40th video.

The instructor to this point has demonstrated the complex deployments in a comprehensible and digestible format.

Course is going well. I like the Searching and Reporting area.
