So far, a very informative course. The old 2021 version of Unity is available in the archive, so you can still follow along for the most part as intended. The hub is now different from the course but still very intuitive. Overall very good!

The overall flow of the content is well-organized, and the basic steps are not skipped and are well-explained. However, I found that the lessons are too short; most of them are 1 to 3 minutes long. Considering the intro, outro, and transition times, there is about a 15-second distraction between each lesson, which sums up to roughly 45 minutes throughout the course. I would personally prefer most of the lessons to be combined into single lessons that are 10 to 15 minutes long. Additionally, there is a gap between sections 5, 6, and 7, which breaks the flow of the course a little and creates some confusion.

By Jeffrey Ong on 4/4/2024

there was a bit of disconnect from section 6 to section 7 as the textures when loading up the VR pentathlon was all purple. Also filebase kept crashing for me and I could not download any assets from it.

still new to everything but, practice practice, practice, and this course gave me ways to practice until things become more familiar

If you're just getting started in VR or are looking for a course that really clears up a lot about how the XRInteraction toolkit components work, I highly recommend this course.

Good explanation in each video. Although there is some disconnection in between Section 6 and 7, it can easily be resolved. This course is really good for beginner that has zero knowledge about Unity and it has been really helpful for me to understand the basics of VR game development.

While I've only barely started the course, I'm very happy with the presentation by the speaker compared to previous Unity courses I've taken (years ago). Hopefully this same quality of presentation will remain throughout.

Among the best Instructor I have learned from I can say Mitchell is one of among them, Mitchell provides step-by-step instruction with deep explanations of every component, if you are new to VR I promise you will salute this guy, he knows how to teach, If you want to dive into the world of VR start with this course, I recommend it 100%, even if you have learned VR long time I go I recommend taking this course, you will thank me later.

Excellent introduction to Unity's XR Interaction Toolkit. The instructor carefully demonstrates and thoroughly explains each step for setting up and linking an Oculus 2 headset to work within Unity. Working with the latest version of the XR Toolkit, the course continues with detailed steps for creation of the VR player game object provided by the Toolkit and concludes with all the remaining steps for creating a fully functional VR experience. So far, I've had no questions about why or how to follow the course. The steps are easy to follow, and the examples are fun and relevant to future development. The XR Toolkit is constantly being updated and it's difficult to find clear and complete instruction for the latest version. Here it's presented in short, digestible steps which explain each component's role in the process and how they interact with each other. I have taken a number of tutorials on this subject and without a doubt, this is the most clear and comprehensive of all of them. Plus, as a bonus, it includes a quick review of basic Unity for anyone who needs a refresher.

By Adrian Colton on 8/2/2023

It has been a while since I used Unity, so the Unity 101 and 102 sections have been a great light weight refresher. In these sections, Jonathon does not try to explain or teach every aspect of the Unity editor, rather just enough for beginners to Unity to get by. I am about to start the Zombie Shooter (NO CODE) section, and am keen to learn how the no code system works in Unity, having done a lot of C# coding in Unity before. I'll come back and update my review as I get further into the course.
