_______________________________________________________________________________________________

The main goal of Transactional Analysis is to help people to experience freer, more autonomous, and more intimate ways of relating to other people. As you progress through the course you'll master the following topics:

  • The Ego State Model [Parent, Adult, and Child Ego States]

  • How To Analyse Communication [Transactional Analysis Proper]

  • Life Positions / Existential Positions (The "OK / Not-OK" States)

  • Strokes, Stroke Hunger & The Stroke Economy (Developmental & Motivational Psychology)

  • Script, Life Script & The Nature of Autonomy

  • Ego Game Analysis [Games]

  • Racket Systems, Substitute Emotions & Racketeering

  • Effective Communication Strategies [Red & Blue Communication]

  • Transactional Analysis Based Approaches to Therapy

  • Therapeutic Strategies Based on Transactional Analysis

Transactional Analysis offers a complete framework for human psychology that's premised on a Parent - Adult - Child model of 'Ego States' - one of it's general goals is to foster an 'Integrating Adult' ego state that can solve-problems, think rationality, and engage fully with the here and now processes of living and interacting.

By improving the ways in which people communicate we can help them to live more functional lives, engage in more healthy relationships, and relate more harmoniously with wider society.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________

This course calls on seven decades of theory and practice and pools it into a single, in-depth, learning package that will foster both your professional and your personal development. Whilst Transactional Analysis has applications in Educational Psychology and Organisational Psychology, this course focuses entirely on the clinical applications of Transactional Analysis and is designed with mental health professionals in mind.

One thing we'll explore at some points in the course is how we can connect these 'forgotten gem' concepts from Classic Transactional Analysis to modern mental health challenges; one particular area of promise is in relation to 'Social Media Addiction'. I invite you to connect the ideas we explore in this course to your own life, your own practice and the lives of those you work with.

The course was/is interestingly made in an easy to follow fashion. I enjoyed the philosophical narrative, accompanied by a hidden smile of Mr. Godwin, which helped me through of the admittedly partly difficult thoughts and therapeutic views. I will definitely check out other courses with udemy.

Thank you so much. This course is incredibly helpful for a partitioner. Highly recommend this course. I enjoyed each session - the course, the quizzes, reflective questions and the way it has been explained has been a combined package of reflection, fun and greater knowledge. Thank you so much for this course!!! Grateful!

There was a lot of content, which made it hard to digest. I would have preferred more succinct and engaging delivery.

I have a PhD in Psychology and I have not come across such an in-depth coverage of TA ever. Adam has gone to extraordinary lengths to cover the depth and width of TA. I am so happy that I came across a Teacher like Adam. If only I could come across someone who would teach Psychoanalysis the same way. Thank you Adam.

Fabulous course!! I’ve been learning about 9 months and I can say it was such a fantastic journey!! Initially, I thought that I would be bored in just a few lectures because of Dr. Adam’s manner of speech as it contrasts with my perception of information. But it turned out that slow and steady was exactly what I needed and looked for! I appreciate the format of the course, the way of giving the information, clear structure, fascinating examples, the lecturers sense of humor and subtle remarks, also the invitation to self-work in each module! Thank you very much!

This was a great course with lots of in depth information; it was quite demanding but tutor helped to consolidate understanding with tests and recapitulations. Thank you, it was very worthwhile and, whilst I am not a TA therapist I'm sure I can incorporate elements of the TA theory into my work!

I am really learning so much from this course - some of the info was initially really on top of each other which felt overwhelming almost, but as the info is unpacked it made more sense. There are weird reactions I am having to some of the ways in which the presenter is engaging with students - and perhaps this can be used to delve more into my own Ego States. For interest the moment(s) I have noted with curiosity include: - having a negative reaction when constantly being told (both verbally and with the use of text on certain slides) to use mind maps or bullet points to make notes... there seems to be a little Controlling Parent coming through when students cannot even decide for themselves how to take notes... (which I am sure if now how it was meant to come across). But even though my response to this was exasperation - I do appreciate that it brought the lesson home for me.

I am happy to engage this course. The britain accent is perfectly understandable for non-native english speaking persons like me. The course well organized through, very well integrates different opinions about/besides the original theory. If Adam makes new contributions to his repertoire of psychotherapy courses, I would definitely buy and study them, gladly.

By Versailles Tabanda on 2/8/2022

It has everything that's needed to be learned including the resources. The lessons are jampacked. I would have appreciated more if the voice of the instructor is engaging and if each slide are not jampacked with words. But overall, it seems nothing was missed. Keep it up!

By Sania Zehra on 4/19/2021

A very thoroughly researched course. I highly appreciate the instructor for going through so much research literature to bring us the latest development and all the important theories of TA. Really helped my learning. However, the presentations which were made required a lot of on-screen reading which I didn't like.
