Course Description
Python is one of the best programming languages in the planet. Why? For a few reasons:
- It's proven & scalable
- It's open-source
- The Internet of Things and Raspberry Pi
- It's leading the change for future technology
Proven & Scalable: Python runs Instagram's backend. It also run's Pinterest's, NASA, Mozilla, and countless others. It scales.
Open-Source: Open source technology means **anyone** can change it. Literally anyone. Are you in New Zealand? Yup you can change the code. Are you in Argentina? Yup, go ahead change it. Open-source changes the game for everyone because we can all use it.
Internet of Things (IoT) and Raspberry PI Connected devices are coming in waves. The easiest way to connect to these devices is using the Raspberry Pi and writing code in Python. Python is versatile so it makes controlling real-world objects with Raspberry Pi simple.
Pushing the Bounds of Future Technology Python is leading the charge in artificial intelligence with things like OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyBrain, and many others.
Sooo... Python is cool but why is this called Try Django? What's Django?
***
Django will be the backbone for your projects.
***
If you work with Python, the chances are good you need internet-connected data that stored securely and is reliable. This is where Django comes in. Django is a web-framework that can handle all of your data and handle it better than any web framework out there.
Django is the #1 Web Framework for Python for a reason: it's easy enough for the beginners and yet powerful enough for the pros. Instagram uses Python by way of Django. So does Pinterest. And Nasa. And Mozilla. It may not be the only technology that they use but its... the backbone of them all.
If Python is the future behind underlying technology, Django will be it's close cousin and if you love Python, Django will soon become your friend.
Cheers!
Justin

It all started with an idea. I wanted freedom... badly. Freedom from work, freedom from boredom, and, most of all, the freedom to choose. This simple idea grew to define me; it made me become an entrepreneur.
As I strived to gain freedom, overtime I realized that with everything that you do you can either (1) convince someone, somehow, to do it with you or (2) figure out how to do it yourself.
Due to a lack of financial resources (and probably the ability to convince people to do high quality work for free), I decided to learn. Then learn some more. Then some more. My path of learning website design started a long time ago. And yes, it was out of need not desire. I believed I needed a website for a company that I started. So I learned how to do it. The company died, my skills lived on... and got better and better.
It took me a while after learning web design (html/css) to actually start learning programming (web application, storing "data", user logins, etc). I tinkered with Wordpress, believing it could be a "user" site, but I was mistaken. Sure there are/were hacks for that, but they were hacks/work-arounds and simply not-what-wordpress-was-indended-to-be. Wordpress is for blogs/content. Plain and simple.

I recently completed the Python Django course on Udemy, and I couldn't be happier with my experience! The course is incredibly well-structured, making complex concepts easy to understand. The instructor's teaching style is engaging and approachable, which kept me motivated throughout. I particularly appreciated the hands-on projects, as they allowed me to apply what I learned in real-world scenarios. The comprehensive resources and support provided made it easy to dive deeper into topics that piqued my interest. Overall, this course is a fantastic investment for anyone looking to enhance their web development skills. Highly recommended!

A good & comprehensive introduction to Django. There were some differences in how things work in current Django version (4.2.5. at the time I took the course) but the changes were small enough for even a novice like myself to implement to get things working.

I enjoyed taking this course, it was very instructive. I had to pause a lot and I would suggest that the comments or the code be limited to the screen size, so when people are following along, they can see it all rather than seeing parts of it scroll past the viewing area.

It's a really good course. Sometimes you gotta go back to previous videos to re-understand something important done which isn't explained again and just expected of you to understand. The accent is really clear and some advice provided is really helpful. There aren't as many comments in code as I would like to see. Overall a good course to kick-start Django.

Takes you through everything step by step, with relatively clear explanations. One thing I dislike is the order in which the different aspects of Django are explained. For example, the instructor explains how to associate information with a certain user before he explains how to let users register. In my opinion, that's a bit illogical. While that's a bit annoying, the course does offer a lot of valuable content with clearer explanations than I've been able to find anywhere else.

This was an incredibly helpful course to take, and it helped reinforce things I've learned from The Web Developer Bootcamp. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to get familiar with virtual servers and building sites through Django.

This course was great overall and each section of videos covered the basics of Django 1.11. The instructor was energetic, knowledgeable, and friendly. He went explained in good detail from creating individual Django apps, configuring settings, setting up templates, models, etc. The only critical feedback I had for this course is it is not flawless. The instructor makes some errors and minor spelling mistakes, but quickly debugs them. The pace of the videos quickens after creating the restaurants app. That is to be expected though, since creating more apps within one Django project should become fluid with more practice.

The best Django tutorials on planet Earth ! Justin Mitchel works very hard to deliver the best django tutorials for real world applications. I would like to see the API version of this project and the addition of a mobile app for it.

Even though he's flying through the information, in the end he explains it and shows you all the references for further reading. It then becomes clear and makes more sense. I definitely recommend this course, especially at the price tag. Great so far!

Awesome. Best online Django so far. Great detail and pace. Love the way he wants you to understand how it works by exploring different options and real time bugs during the session. This is not just copy his code and watch it work. Thank you!!
