These are questions you wouldn't know to ask otherwise. Questions, after all, lead to answers.
This is an Ad-Free Version of the Try Django 1.9 Tutorial Series from our Coding Entrepreneurs Youtube Channel. High Res Video Downloads are also included.
Furthermore, we teach you how to launch on a live hosting service called Heroku.

It all started with an idea. I wanted freedom... badly. Freedom from work, freedom from boredom, and, most of all, the freedom to choose. This simple idea grew to define me; it made me become an entrepreneur.
As I strived to gain freedom, overtime I realized that with everything that you do you can either (1) convince someone, somehow, to do it with you or (2) figure out how to do it yourself.
Due to a lack of financial resources (and probably the ability to convince people to do high quality work for free), I decided to learn. Then learn some more. Then some more. My path of learning website design started a long time ago. And yes, it was out of need not desire. I believed I needed a website for a company that I started. So I learned how to do it. The company died, my skills lived on... and got better and better.
It took me a while after learning web design (html/css) to actually start learning programming (web application, storing "data", user logins, etc). I tinkered with Wordpress, believing it could be a "user" site, but I was mistaken. Sure there are/were hacks for that, but they were hacks/work-arounds and simply not-what-wordpress-was-indended-to-be. Wordpress is for blogs/content. Plain and simple.

It was a great learning experience that helped me understand Django's structure and functionality. The instructor explained concepts clearly, making it easy to follow along even for beginners. The step-by-step approach was effective, and the practical project allowed me to apply my learning in a hands-on way. However, since Django 1.9 is an older version, some parts of the course felt outdated, and I had to look up newer methods to adapt to Django’s latest updates. Despite that, the foundational concepts remain valuable, and the course provided a solid introduction to Django’s models, views, and templates. I also appreciated the inclusion of Python libraries, which expanded my understanding of their role in web development. If you're new to Django and comfortable making slight adjustments for newer versions, this course is still a useful resource for learning how to build a functional web application.

Very to the point, I like it's not copy and paste. I was able to take Justin's concepts and tailor them as I went. Still relevant with Django 4.1, although you need some skills to adapt some of it forward. Honestly it helped me learn having to adapt. Only "not awesome" comment was Justin's a fast talker which is a blessing and a curse. You can always go back and pause and internalize what he's doing. If you already know what he is doing, you can just watch as a refresher and see if you can get a good nugget or two out of it. Honestly was an amazing class. I was only going to grab 1 thing from this class at first "because it was old and I had newer", and wound up finishing it. Glad I did.

Fabulous!!!! I learned and enjoyed a lot in this class. The lectures are organized well. The instructor is very clear. Great!!! I really like how you simplify the information until now , the most convenient Python Django course ever. Great course for Web beginners. Quite Long course but in every sections you will learn foundation for web as well as advance materials.

I am just on the 10% of the course and I wanted to thank you to the tutor. He is a wonderful tutor and he has organized the course so well. He is precise, concise and he clearly knows what is going in Student's mind. I would like to say thank you. This is the best ever course on Django which I have seen till now. One suggestion please make a basic architectural overview kind of session as well at start so that absolute beginners do not wander here and there just to know what is Django and why those files? Thank you again. For absolute beginners, just go to google, study for 2 -4 hours what is Django and start here then, gradually you will know things very well.

Students should be familiar with Python and have a basic understanding of HTML/CSS to get the most out of this course, otherwise it might be overwhelming. Overall good instructions, structure and pace. The part on slugs is a bit flawed, besides that not much to criticize. I'm halfway through and used Django 1.11, there isn't much difference.

Course is great. Instructions are clear and well paced. Justin is available and prompt to reply. It would help to have a first quick beginner experience with Django (think the Django docs project or DjangoGirls tutorial), simply for comfort. Then Justin will go way beyond this basic knowledge and show you how it's really done.

The presenter facilitates the learning process by building up to where he wants you to be. I have some exposure to django, but have picked up a lot of useful little pointers as we progress. I must say I really appreciated the explanation of bootstrap grids. I work with them professionally, but clearly did not understand how they actually work. Thanks Justin. Good job.

Great course. Very interesting and complete. Justin is very clear and concise; often going back to elaborate on the why's of a concept. Instructor is very responsive to questions as well. My only issue is that there are times when I feel like I get too much information: I just want to know how to do something and by showing me three different ways it just muddles the whole thing up. Thanks for making me a better coder.

This course contains some super powerful content about making web applications. The teacher covers ground very quickly, so it's good to pause, rewatch and rewatch again. All the essential setup for your development tools with Django are covered here, as well as showing you where to consult the documentation (Read That Fine Manual). Certainly, he knows his material and leads you through step-by-step. If you wanna build those skillz to pay the bills, then you better go on and take this course. Peace.

Class is not good at all. It is a mess with ~150 lectures. I signed up trying to learn django and with all honesty after going 20% into this class I was so confused and have no idea what's happening. So I would ask a question trying to understands some of the basics and the instructor never responses(I currently have a 20 days ago question that hasn't been answered yet). So i'm going to say that the instructor is "teaching" off of the django documentation and has no talent/creativity to come up with his own style/technique. On the other hand, after I got annoyed and frustrated with Django(Thanks to this class) I did some online searching and found a 4 hours class that taught me 10 times more what I've learned from this 27 hours of chaos. it is at the MicrosoftVirtalAcadimy and at least it is free and they really know what they are talking about. Sorry Justin you sound like a great guy but maybe teaching isn't your forte, keep trying though and never give up just like I've done after taking your class.
