Course Description
Welcome to the introduction to the crazy world of 3D Printing (FDM/FFF 3D Printing & Resin 3D Printing)
In this course we will start with discussing what 3D Printing FDM/FFF is and what Resin 3D Printing is
Then we will talk about what are some current technologies and features available for FDM & Resin printers to select the best first 3d printer printer for your uses.
Which components and options that you should push to have on your printer and which options that you can afford to live without.
Regardless of what your uses are (Industrial, End Use Parts, Figurines, Trinkets, 3D Printer Farms, ETC.)
What Materials are currently available and what are there pros and cons
What can and can't be done on FDM & Resin 3D Printers.
And what are great fits for FDM & Resin 3D Printers
We will then go over Slicers and other Software and 3D Printing Basics
We will also go over intermediate topics
Slicer basics like selecting Cura/Lychee 3d printer profile, material settings, layer height selection, previewing print, saving print to SD card for printing.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to send me a message and i will try to get back to you as soon as i can.

Steven Mosbrucker
Hi my name is Steven Mosbrucker. I have a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. I currently work in the Semiconductor industry in California. In my spare time I enjoy designing my own parts for cars, rc planes, electronics, machinery etc. Then manufacture them on my own by additive manufacturing (3D Printing), subtractive manufacturing (machining/cutting etc), or some other fabrication method.

technical part in section 3 didnt convey better , esp during heat , convention and convection , thermal stress topics , they can be better explained . but overall was good , i understood 3d printer and confident to handle it . thank you

I’m a fitter and machinist by trade profession so seeing this information on additive manufacturing is the future of my trade . The presenter /teacher comes from a mechanical engineering background and also use 3d printer technology recreational. So I can relate to what he is presenting . So far course is good

First off the repeating himself gets pretty annoying, I would suggest planning the presentation a little better. It seems like he is just rattling on a lot. In some parts, it looks like he doesn't know his audience, A good example is in the material section, which is way too in-depth for a beginner. That said he is knowledgeable in 3D printing, and there is a lot of good information you just have to get past the presentation.

The information here is very detailed and just what I was looking for after buying my first Ender 3. I have not found many courses that cover all these topics in this length. However, it is pretty repetitive and dragged out. It could have been much shorter.

Learning 3D printing is really of great interest to me. As for myself, this course was a bit dragging on the lecture part, but excellent on the filming and demo part. Unfortunately, the course did not touch on how to prepare models for 3D printing.

This course is quite good and detailed. One thing I might add is that put some documents on the topics like some review papers or other documents/ manuals on overall 3d printing technology or something if possible.

This course is made up of many lectures covering almost every topic related to 3-D printing. It is an excellent course explaining almost every issue that could arise and gives the background knowledge necessary to understand the workings and get the most of your 3-D printer. What’s great about it is that the lectures are indexed so you can always go back and review the various material specs or extruder size or whatever and understand the knowledge necessary for the best results. I highly recommend this course.

Information delivered could be more focused. It is way too long. Most of the information is presented from a web browser, paint or excel. All the graphic content is from google search. Instructor could prepare better before the lecture (better pictures instead of drawing in a paint, videos etc.), cut out the parts were he is looking for the material or interupted - that would make the content shorter, more focused and more professional...

Great course! Very very rich and in-depth information on materials, printer types and components. Free-style presentation which goes to show how well the instructor knows his materials. My only complaints are that some topics can be a bit repetitive, making the course quite long and takes a while to get through, shaky live camera, and using black filament isn't a great choice to show quality.

I am an electrical engineering college student at a local state college, interested in electronics and mechanics. I am glad I found this course on Udemy, it is primarily focused on Fused deposition modeling, which is FDM 3D printing. In the course, Steven carefully explains different aspects of FDM printing. He starts with an introduction of 3D printing in general, including some of the 3D painting basics and material options. You will be able to understand different types of 3D printers and their different type of expertise. After watching this course, I learned many of the basic concepts that I will be able to carry with me down the road, as well as knowledge in regards to my printer selection. Lastly, I will be able to completely set up a printer and using the specific OS for the printer to create my 3D creations.
