Excellent course, well presented and in easily manageable sections. I’ve always been afraid of graphics and drawing packages (even though I own several) due to my inability to draw. This course has given me the skills I need to start producing my own graphics rather than spending many hours searching the net for something ‘almost right’ that someone else has produced. Better yet, it has given me the confidence to try to draw my own graphics. I’m never going to be a graphic designer - I don’t have the mindset for that - but I now feel comfortable with producing what I need for my software development projects.

This course is excellent! Everything is explained clearly and with great attention to detail. The instructor has a very pleasant voice and keeps a perfect, relaxed pace throughout. I especially appreciated how much hands-on practice was included - it really helped solidify the concepts. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to learn Affinity Designer with confidence!

I try to watch each of the videos and then tried to replicate the video, but with 160+ video this seemed overwelming. So, I started watching them one after another, and after watching them all, I worked on the areas that I especially wanted to retain.

This course was amazing. I've taken (or attempted) a lot of art courses on Udemy, and Mr. Wilson is a fantastic presenter. He gave all the information I needed, repeated at appropriate intervals, and had the humble manner of a guide, as opposed to a more high handed "expert at the podium" style. At the end of the course, I felt confident that even if I didn't know every single feature of the application by heart- which is an unreasonable ask, in my opinion- I definitely knew what was available and how to find more information on my own. I can't recommend this course highly enough, and I'm likely to take more from this instructor.

Tim has a calm and friendly manner in the way that he presents the course that encourages the student to work alongside him. I found the course was pitched at exactly the right level for my needs, not too basic but nor was it at such a high level that I found it too complex to complete. I now feel more than confident that I can use Affinity Designer for iPad to a reasonable standard, the only thing that may hold me up is my imagination!

Tim is one of the best if not the best teachers out there. Although I already knew a lot of the tools and workflow as I've been using Affinity Designer on the iPad and desktop for the past 3 or more years, I learnt some valuable new ways to do things more efficiently. The course is fun and engaging and learning is made easy through doing hands-on, real-world projects. The course is well paced and presentation is clear and precise. Now all I'd like is an advanced course to take my skills to the next level .... please Tim!

The instructor is thorough in explaining the material. He uses a light, reassuring tone and never sounds condescending. The videos are short so I can practice the material between lessons without feeling lost. It is a very thoughtful course for beginners like me.
