Course Description
This course will show you--from start to finish--how to build a real-life application with AngularJS. Angular is awesome, but it can be tricky to learn, especially if you are newer to web development. This is especially true if you're trying to figure out how to build an actual working application in it. It can seem like a daunting task--especially since many tutorials out there don't show how to do it from scratch.
The good news is that it's not that hard once you know how all the pieces work together. This course will teach you those pieces and how they fit together so that you can build your own real life single page web applications that persist data to a database.
This course is for all levels, but you will find it especially useful if you are newer to web development. You should know some HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, but by no means do you need to be an expert. We'll be using tools like the command line and NodeJS to install packages, but we'll be seeing how to use them from scratch, so you don't need to have prior knowledge of them.
This course brings together many commonly requested AngularJS subjects that aren't seen in a lot of other ones, including:
- Directives
- Routing
- Angular Material
- Angular 2
If you want to learn how to build a single page app with AngularJS, and want to learn it from scratch, then this is the best course you'll find. See you in there!

This class is what I was looking for and I am thankful for it. I understand that versions get upgraded and I was specifically looking for scope and material design using AngularJS (not 2+) - so this course is what I need. Make sure to pay attention to installing the versions of AngularJS 1.X, angular-material, angular-aria, and angular-animations and mdi in the set up demo.

Great course, but just a bit outdated in parts. The instructor explains what he's doing very clearly, and the videos and project is organized perfectly. I like how he introduces new concepts AS we build the app, whenever the new concepts needed to complete that part of the app... that keeps it interesting and the app comes together much more quickly. Tip to author: AngularJS is deprecated BUT it's still heavily used in the real world. Many jobs still ask for this, and I'm one of many who is now learning AngularJS in 2019 (and I already know Angular 2+). In my opinion it would be a good move to create a new course from scratch using the latest version. It would be the only course on Udemy that is up to date, and will always be (since it won't ever change) :)

Overall this course a good starting point for learning AngularJS, however the course is outdated and does not cover in-depth material of AngularJS. It would also be great if the instructor explained a bit behind the scenes of what is happening with Angular and how the different files are loaded. Also he could explain more about how you are using Angular Material and all this md classes and directives. I am a web developer that have only been using jQuery until now and was hard for me to grasp the way Angular is loaded, which libraries I am actually using, the API docs of these libraries and what else I can use.

Course seriously needs updating to deliver on its promise. Some of the code doesn't work because of different versions in the javascript modules used. I gave up completely at the Firebase section because Firebase is now completely different to that used in the course. I would have to read the Firebase docs (not that easy if you've never used it before) or even take a course on it before I could attempt to continue with this course. Shame really because this course did seem to be good to start with. Will edit this rating if the course is updated.

This course not only takes you through a real world practical example of how to build an application with AngularJS and firebase, but Ryan provides excellent conceptual context to what he is doing. I was able to build the majority of an app with an entirely different purpose with AngularJS after completing about 50% of this course and jumping around a bit. Ryan was extremely responsive to my questions. I've taken a few courses here with mixed results, but I would recommend this course to anyone, and if this instructor had more courses I would certainly take those as well.

So far, the material has been covered appropriately. The exercises are well-explained and pretty good. I have never known about the Angular Material before this class. It is pretty interesting. There are so many things to cover to be a pretty good web developer. I am not sure how much the Angular Material Design has been getting used by the web community. I hear a lot about the Bootstrap library. In that sense, I would have been very happy if the course has been covered with Bootstrap and jQuery. Probably, there will be another course with AngularJS, Bootstrap and jQuery. Come on Mr. Ryan. Please create another course with Angular and Bootstrap.

Ryan is really good when it comes to teaching the subject, concepts are clear, goes one step at a time to make sure the student understands what he's learning. Just wish he would've been a bit slow just to make sure the student avoids the hassle of going back and forth in the videos and pausing it many times. Everything else is really good. Liked the course and the instructor, looking forward for more of his courses.

Very good training for creating an app with both AngularJS and Angular Material. Not a lot of details in terms of the technical aspects of the code, but if you have some Javascript knowledge, you can follow along. After going through 75% of the course, I can say that you get a lot of know how on different aspects of a SPA: user experience, other JS libraries, etc. SO far, excellent course. As I finished this course, I feel motivated to begin to design and develop my first SPA. One piece of knowledge I wanted to get form this course was integration with FIREBASE. There is not a lot under the hood details, but enough to get you started. In summary, a nice course to get started building complete SPA with a backend. If you don't have a lot of knowledge on AngularJS, I would recommend to take first a more theoretical course. Then what Ryan teaches here will make more sense.

i have, in the past, enrolled myself for a few courses on Angular on udemy. they are all v good. but, they all fall short of creating a complete crud program with data persistence capabilities. i'm not a programmer nor have any professional aspirations of being one; but i've been wantnig to build a utility program for myself, and being a neophyte i wanted guidance to help me get there. This tutorial has helped me fulfill that vision. I think it would be worthwhile to also mention that apart from Angular, getting exposure to Angular Material and Firebase was a delightful experience. So, Ryan, thank you v much for producing this great material. I'm pretty sure it's gonna be a marquee course on Angular before long. And if i may provide any suggestions wrt this course, i would really appreciate if you can create instructions/videos for topics like user-authentication with Firebase, along with deploying the program on Firebase. And i request you to continue putting together great courses along the lines of building complete projects in the process. Thank you.

The course is great! Ryan really takes his time to explain AngularJS so that it's easy to understand. I can finally say that I have an app that is fully functional and I can share with others immediately. This course is not like the others out there where I am left hanging with a boring app (typical to-do list) stuck on my computer. There are a few hiccups here and there throughout the course but if you watch the video fully, you might be able to solve your own problem or Ryan will find his own errors and you can fix it then. Even though I am really happy that I learned about Firebase because it's VERY easy to setup and implement into future projects, I wish that the back-end choice was PHP. I have been following Brad Hussey/ Code College for a while now and learned PHP from Brad's free PHP course and I wish that all of the Code College courses connected with each other so you could consider yourself a full stack developer. Hopefully, this would be considered in the near future since there isn't a course for AngularJS and PHP at the moment.
