In the ever-evolving world of IT Infrastructure Management, Ansible is poised to become the gold standard, and this course is designed to help you harness its full potential.
Ansible's core principle of simplicity is reflected in its thoughtful design choices, including an agentless setup, small footprint, push model, and the use of YAML as a language to define infrastructure state. Its ease of setup, code writing, and extensibility through custom modules makes it an ideal choice for IT professionals. Whether you're a systems administrator, network engineer, or DevOps practitioner, Ansible offers a comprehensive solution to streamline your infrastructure management tasks.
With Ansible, you can effortlessly manage systems at scale, execute ad-hoc tasks on a group of servers, automate systems and application configurations, perform change management, orchestrate application deployments, provision cloud servers, and even manage network and storage devices. This course is designed to help you master Ansible one step at a time, starting from the fundamental concepts of Infrastructure as Code and Idempotence, and progressing to more advanced topics.
Throughout this course, you'll dive into real-world use cases and gain hands-on experience with Ansible. You'll learn how to set up an inventory of servers and configure Ansible to manage them efficiently. You'll write playbooks for base systems configuration, create roles for automating web server provisioning and configurations, and leverage Galaxy roles to set up a load balancer. You'll also explore how to customize roles using group_vars to define your database and application configurations, secure sensitive information with Ansible Vault, and deploy applications in a rolling manner with zero downtime.
By the end of this course, you'll have a deep understanding of Ansible's primitives and be well-equipped to automate servers, applications, and infrastructure management tasks. You'll gain the skills and confidence to tackle complex automation scenarios and streamline your IT operations.

This course provides an integrated learning environment using a suite of Docker containers. Unfortunately, at this time, there are some issues as a result of the version of CentOS being used. The last section also ends rather abruptly. These niggles aside, this is a well put together course and I got a lot out of it.

This is the second Udemy Ansible course I have taken and it has been very helpful and in depth. I especially appreciated the docker images and workspace. Although there were several things I could not do on them as they are CentOS 6 and unable to install software now.

Really good course it covers mostly everything basic for ansible, some sections may need some update like with_items, with_dicts since ansible is now trying to push loops differently but for the most part is great material to start

This course is great on the content. I gave it the star rating due to the overuse of the yellow cursor which needs to be more transparent or the magnifier cursor. They get in the way when you move the mouse around like a rabid squirrel trying to point out everything. Also while the narration is good and not monotone, there are times when the rate of narration goes to fast and is not consistent with the rate of the rest of the course. Despite these things, I would recommend this course to someone wanting some deeper knowledge into Ansible.

It was a good match, but in some lessons the microphone of the teacher did not work properly. And the tempo of presenting the material is high, like he is in a hurry to catch the train. He should slow down and take time to explain more clearly. But, he is a good teacher and he has very good knowledge of the material.

Very nice course, I really enjoyed it, and it met my expectations, but I often tried to go beyond what was given in the lesson and examples, and apply the learning to my personal needs. Gourav Shah instructions are clear, examples and hands-on labs are good to my opinion. The pace is OK, and the progression from basics to advanced features is well organized. I would have liked a few lessons with more advanced topics at the end of the course, like for example generating dynamic inventory from CMDB, or more advanced rollout deployments (integrating in a CI/CD fashion), real world scenario, or writing a complex playbook for a complex application, like the one we used from ansible-galaxy, etc..., but that wasn't the objective of this course. Nonetheless, I now feel confident using Ansible for production and real world scenario, as this course really give a solid base to start working with. Thanks Gourav

Well structured course. It covers most of the topics. The instructor appearing in the videos seems more appealing to me that a voice over a PowerPoint. Cons: Magnifying glass use is a pain in the neck. Very few challenges with no provided correct responses.

Course will get you up to speed with one the leading automation tools out there in the world of IaaS and DevOps. It's hard to find good education on the topic because the material involves a heavy understanding of UNIX, Networking, etc. Great course!

Overall the instructor has very good knowledge about the topic and the first theory and practical approach is also really good. However, just a few points from what I have seen till completing half of the course. 1. The background music is quite loud so if it can be reduced or can be played only during the logo display. 2. In some videos, the movement between the slides is too quick. 3. If possible please remove the magnifier it makes the text hard to read on slides. 4. Please provide a single file for all the slides as there are many files on the link provided. This course is the best course I have seen on Ansible till now it can be made the best one on Udemy I believe if the above points can be fixed. Looking forward to more such great courses. Thanks
