I messed around with tape cassette recordings all through the 70's and 80's as a kid. Went into the Navy then my career now I'm retired and getting back into playing music seriously and desire to learn recording skills.

A great overview of recording, mixing, and mastering. Great course for anyone just dipping into this field!

I'm a lifetime musician/entertainer/vocalist...yet I never had a clue about recording, at age 76 I am intrigued with recording...THIS IS WITHOUT A DOUBT..and I'm only on lesson 7, the best $15.00 I could ever spend on recording education. I can't wait to dig in. David Wills is a fantastic teacher. I am sure as time goes by I will be looking to accelerate my learning with other videos and I will not be afraid to invest in David's courses. Thank you. WOW!

This class was a perfect match for where I was in my home recording learning curve. David is an excellent, engaging instructor, and the class provides amazing value for the money. One particular thing I liked was how he was able to help me without having to provide DAW specific software advice by explaining the concepts and functionality one needs. It was very easy for me to then apply these concepts to GarageBand and improve my recordings. Thank you David!

This course covers a great spectrum - from how is sound produced, how best to record it, and here's how you can tweak it to make it better. I've done a bit of mixing with software but wanted to know more, why would I need or want to use effects for example. I got my answers, clearly explained, and learned a lot. A very experienced instructor who definitely knows his stuff.

After browsing through all the listed courses I settled on this one and... super! A wealth of knowledge.
But I feel that I missed out on some essentials owing to the non-availability of the material on the companion DVD...
