I have been playing guitar since 1993 when I received a guitar shortly after my 5th birthday. From day 1 I was obsessed. I was excelling through all school music and was constantly in bands.
By age 15 I was teaching out of a room in my house and my passion for music blossomed further. My love for teaching and nurturing players has been an amazing 15 year journey.
A few short years ago I started a YouTube channel called Chris Zoupa/Learn That Solo dedicated to learning rock and metal lead guitar as a way to put my knowledge to use, to keep my playing and ear training fresh and to pay homage to the guitar heroes that inspired me to be the player I am today.
I now have 100,000+ YouTube subscribers and teach over 80 guitar lessons (in person and Skype) a week with students from all over the world ranging from Australian (my home country) to America, Canada, Chile, Turkey, Mozambique, Ireland, Scotland, England and India to name a few.
I'm hoping that I can use Udemy to reach more inspiring students and aspiring players!

This is no course you watch from beginning to the end and are done. Each video merely showcases an exercise you have to practice over and over on your own to really get something out of it. And you should combine this with music theory and fretboard navigation to benefit most. If you are up for that, you get an enormous library of exercises for all major guitar techniques, which can take up a lot of practice time and help practice those techniques. The explanations are concise are and on point, but could have gone a bit more in depth. I will probably come back to this course for years to come, to pick some new finger-twisting exercises to work on the techniques.

Amazing Course! Excellent techniques, the instructor explained the concepts very well, and played effortlessly all the techniques for Shredding, Legato etc

Great course! The instructor went further into techniques and methods than I expected him to which was a nice surprise for me. Course was well worth the price and is one that I will go to over and over again.

Exercises are good for dexterity but Some melodies/melodic exercises(preferably from some real songs) would be good, for some exercises left hand fingering would be appreciated and the course would be perfect if accompanied by guitar pro tracks.

Overall great course! was able to get through it all over the course of about 3 months. My only real crique is that it would of been nice to maybe have slowed down examples and more in depth walk throughs over the more difficult passages, but that said I got alot out of this!

I have used the exercises for years now for warm up and speed building routine. It has helped me in accuracy and overall development. Highly Recommended.

good course, does exactly what it says on the tin. to people who think its not that helpful id suggest that you practice the tabs he gives you for a day or so instead of running through the lessons as fast as mowgli runs through the jungle

Definitely a very comprehensive introduction to shred guitar, absolutely perfect for someone new to the subject. Also of value to advanced players who wish to review and refine their skills. Not too hard to be discouraging, but also challenging enough for most guitarists.

I've done the whole shredding part, a fourth of the legato part and a third of the sweeping part. The course is well presented, not a lot of theory explained here, but that's not the main focus of the course. Everything is shown in depth, and every lesson has it's own tab. It takes time to get there at a certain level for every exercise (especially the legato and sweeping parts), the key is to remain focused, be patient, and improve the speed little by little. It took me several days/ a week for certain exercises.

This course will help you connect scale patterns, play in key, develop speed, improve your picking hand, improve your lead playing massively, if you use this course and practice. Lot's of examples, tabs, guitar pro 6 files included. If you think you need to get better, then preview this course and look at what's inside.
