First of all, note that this course only covers Unreal Engine 5 and there is a newer version out. While this makes it more difficult to follow, the course is still valuable as an introduction to the Unreal flow. The instructor clearly understands the software, shares practical tips and hot keys, calmly explains the process, and reiterates when necessary. While understanding code is helpful, you can still learn (if you're willing to put more time and thought in) how to use the visual code blueprints.

The instructor is knowledgeable on the subject and his explanations are pretty straight forward. At the time of me taking the course, some things changed with newer Unreal Engine versions. My best advice would be to updates some of these sections (if possible). One example of this is the how to get to the Quixel libraries. As I was practicing with UE 5.3.2, Epic change the location to access the library.

If u looking UE5 beginner course, this is the one. I've learn SO MUCH here. 2 months ago I didnt know nothing about UE5, about Lumen, Nanite and basic Blueprint. And now I know! What part disappointed me is that this guy only have 1 course content :') *im kidding* The way he teach in the video is similar like the one I attended film course 4 years ago. Well done sir! Now for the next step i'm moving to more about animation, modeling maker Blender to UE5, and more about game mechanic in blueprint. Thank u so much for this course! For real u help me started in game development. I'm looking for your next course either its about EU5 or outside 3D program. We'll be here as your student! Good luck and good luck to all of the student here! (This course highly recommend for beginners!!) -Bobby (ZedDragon Creative) from Sabah, Malaysia

This course has been really great. The tutor is perfect for beginners like me, not too fast, not clicking on anything without an explanation of what's going on. He's empowered people to go from nothing to making a basic game, and that feels pretty good. It's obvious there is mountains to learn and not everything can be explained to beginners in a short course, but he does a pretty good job of getting you started. There's an issue with Unreal being updated since the course was designed, making one of the sections very difficult to follow for beginners as the UI and process is now different, but there are solutions if you look online. I'm kind of disappointed to come to the end as I've been enjoying it so much, but fortunately the tutor has included bonus tutorials which I'm about to start. Thanks for the great teaching.

Great overview of Unreal Engine 5. There are some outdated exercises due to version differences (i.e. character rigging) Had lots of fun with blueprints and creating logics etc. One suggestion I have is to narrate the logic when creating bunch of nodes in a blueprint. There were times I found myself just copying and pasting the nodes rather than understanding how they all work together. Especially in the beginning. The instructor improved his lecturing style towards the end. All in all, great course and I would recommend it!

This is a good course, gives a direct and hassle-free overview of Unreal Engine and is great for beginners or those who want to get a quick dive into it's many features. It is not meant to be as comprehensive as some courses but instead will give you a good introduction to a majority of the concepts needed to get you started with Unreal in a timely manner.

This was BEYOND helpful as a new game dev hopeful! Breaks everything down and even over explains some things (thankfully) to where it is easy for someone to take this course with zero game dev or unreal engine background and have a solid footing going forward. I absolutely recommend this course for new users!

You can instantly feel that Tyler is very knowledgeable in (3D) art and has a good grasp on the visual side of Unreal Engine and also explains the biggest new technologies of UE5, Lumen and Nanite, excellently. All the lectures about lighting, materials, meshes and so on are a great quick introduction into those topics. However, I feel that the parts about scripting game logic and setting up animations are a bit chaotic and hard to follow and do not teach best practices in those particular areas. I do recommend this course, also thanks to Tyler's friendly and engaging style, but if you're really interested in getting a general grasp on the Unreal Engine I recommend that you use this course in combination with beginner courses by people with different backgrounds (e.g. programmers).

Course was good. It took me from 0 experience to understanding some key concepts of Unreal Engine 5. I tried to not follow the course exactly which threw some curveballs as the offered some problems not covered in the course. Still I was able to figure everything out use the knowledge I gained from this course. Thank you for giving my step into build games with Unreal Engine 5. Now I would like to more advanced courses where I incorporate sounds, fx, and C++ into my development
