Web Server IIS Mastery Course (Udemy.com)

Hi Hasan, Thanks for the course. I just took this course to refresh my IIS knowledge.But i have learned more than i expected.But it would have been nice if you have included the materials or presentations about all the features. I have a doubt, is this course still relevant in 2025 suppose if we need to give interview.

The content was good, and Hasan is very knowledgeable on the subject, but I had downloaded the resources, and it didn't match what was covered. I would've liked a VM associated with this course to have everything needed. I had to use my system for VM creation and our IT locks things down so much that I could not get to some items that were covered, so it mainly was lecture that I could view and not enough lab work for the information to really sink in.

The course will give enough information but I had to look up topics outside the course to understand some of the lectures. I had to re-watch the videos multiple times to try and understand the topics. The lectures at the end seemed a little rushed and I feel more time should have been given in the videos with better demonstrations than the use of generic examples website1 and website2 that can cause confusion in some of the lectures when trying to understand the topics. The labs can be followed along it is just the underlying explanation that is not always connecting with lectures. There is a lot of information here and this is a hard topic to get through. I did leave this course with better understand and more confidence that I could get though and get around IIS much better than before and I also did have a VM with IIS setup and walked through the examples whenever possible.

missing hands-on-labs, there should have been more content available to download and follow steps in the course. In one lecture you have 3 sites, then in a next one just one site. I was also unable to test the monitoring lecture, since the slow site was not available for download. advanced logging feature works only on IIS 7.0 according error log i was given, when installing on IIS 10 on a 2016 Datacenter from Azure. 0 attachment in lecture 74 as promised in the video. the whole course should be really useful, but there are still many things to improve.

The course is very good and definitely takes a novice to a very good level. I strongly recommend not skipping any modules as there are snippets of info throughout. So if you are the type of person who just goes for the bits that interest you by topic or subject it will be your lost. My favourite bits were the SSL area helps cement the way it works and good tips for work arounds in testing environment plus Azure in the cloud. Thank you Hasan

Esta muy bien el curso, explicado de manera sencilla, lo calificaría como de nivel intermedio, ya que enseña lo básico y algunos procedimientos intermedios, recomendable para quien quiere utilizar IIS como servidor de alojamiento de Web Pages o FTP server; como puntos de mejora: Esta solo en Ingles y se agradecerían subtitulo (aunque el acento de medio oriente en vez de dificultarlo lo facilita) el costo se me hace elevado, debería ser un 50 % menos comparándolo con cursos que encuentras de calidad dentro de UDEMY (aunque abarca lo básico necesario, hay muchas mas posibilidades que quedan fuera)...en RESUMEN..fuera del alto costo, SI LO RECOMIENDO !!!

I can tell the creator has put a lot of effort to improve the content based on student's feedback, so far this is exactly what I was looking for. I have a sysadmin background and I wanted to understand the IIS web server role from basic to more advanced tasks. Great job, keep it up! UPDATE -- This has actually helped me a lot professionally, even though I hadn't managed IIS before, I recently got asked a lot of questions on the subject, by following this course along with my virtual lab I was able to understand and answer most of them! I am really thankful to the instructor for creating this.

very very good course go from video to another without feeling the time. also the instructor is very responsive he answer after few minutes he even response to questions in Facebook messenger and help me a lot guiding me to manage my online server and gave me good advises he also ready to help by himself by accessing my server by team viewer to fix my problems . thanks a lot Hassan

Pretty decent course. Instructor is clearly engaged and looking to help his students, and clearly knew his stuff. Don't let my criticisms turn you off if you're looking to learn about IIS - these are meant to be constructive to help future improvements. Some feedback: Your intro should explain what the following sections will cover and arrange them in a logical way (E.g. Section 1 will be about initial setup, section 2 will be about security, section 3 will be about replication, etc. Perhaps provide high level explanations during the introduction of what those basic features are and why they're a focus of the course and other features are not.) I found that the order of the lessons made little sense logically and as a student I was forced to listen to lessons one at a time without a good understanding of the big picture. Outline the course so the student knows whats going on and it'll be much easier for your students to stay engaged. A lot of the sections are purely you asking for feedback. This is overkill and unpleasant for students. Please dial it back. If possible, have someone review your grammar and spelling. You were understandable but when you make mistakes it's distracting for native English speakers. It'll add a layer of professionalism to your work, which is always good. Thanks for the course! I'm sure I will be re watching parts in the future for reference!

Brilliant break down of details involved in IIS and explained in a very lucid manner. Short videos creates even more interest in further navigating to videos that follow. I am mid way through the course as I write this. I am hopeful to gain further knowledge on IIS as I continue watching further videos Updated as of 22nd Jan '18. I am consistently watching hasan's videos and it has been super informative. To an extent that it helped me with my day to day work at my existing organization and also helped me crack interviews. Thank you and you are fantastic Hasan. Really appreciate your regular updates to this course.
