This isn't a full-blown Javascript course by any means, but it's definitely a great brief introduction to the language. The instructor keeps things simple and understandable. If you have prior programming knowledge, then this is just a preview of the language. If you don't, then you're getting an intro to basic fundamentals of programming, as well.

I have pretty much never touched Javascript before this week. I took this course because I was struggling in one of my units at university and I desperately needed a quick catch-up. I finished this in a few hours and I feel a lot more confident. Everything was well explained, and if you make the effort to do the exercises along with the instructor, and then RE-DO them by yourself afterward, you'll get a lot out of it.

This short cause did exactly as I expected - throw me in to JS within an hour. I did this course as part of a buildup to studying NodeJS and John did a great job in introducing me to JavaScript

I was just hoping it would go a bit deeper and show some more useful uses of loops and grabbing variables. I just felt like it should be a bit longer, mainly because of the HTML and CSS review, but overall it was a decent course.

Very good information and well laid out. But, the instructor sure talks fast. If he spoke slower, I could digest more as he explains what he is doing.

It is fast. Free and interesting. I recommend it to anyone who wants a quick introduction to Javascript programming.
My only issue with this course is jsbin.com. I like to do everything hosted on my own machines.
