1 hour jQuery (Udemy.com)

The instructor exhibits good knowledge of the subject and is decent teacher, but I found his lack of fluency distracting. For example, I counted 9 'uhs' in just the first 60 seconds of the second video. I noticed this trend continues with expressions such as ‘um’ and ‘ya know’ scattered throughout. I don't mean to be critical, it's just that I'm one of those people who get distracted with disfluencies.

This is a great course for beginners. There is a VERY small threshold to quickly go from no experience to getting tangible results in the browser. For me, the course is much too rudimentary, but that's only because I already have front-development experience. No fault of the presenter. He very clearly stated that this is a beginner course. It was still worth an hour of my time to check out the course for others. If you are new to front-end development, take this course!

This course is for absolute beginners. Didn't work for a quick revision or a good coverage.

I was watching this to check if it would be good to point a novice to jQuery at. The instructor makes several mistakes while coding and on several occasions passes them off as being 'just how it is', and at one point explains the lag in a queue of animations as being 'down to the recorder', when there are valid explanations for them every time. While I realise it's a 1 hour course so can't cover everything, the minimum should be that what is covered is accurately explained. Each video is less than one minute long - would it be so hard to re-record the ones where mistakes were made?

Crash course on the least amount of jquery abilities. I would have preferred a more in-depth course using desktop techonologies. Does not explain where to store folders/files as everything is done in jsbin. I'm not a fan online technologies such as jsbin and jupyter notebooks.

Java is pronounced, 'JAH-VAH'. Also Javascript is pronounced, 'JAH-VAH-script'. The 'a' is not uttered the same way you would in the word, 'apple' or in the name 'Anderson'. Java is Jaaaah-vaaaah. Javascript is Jaaaahvaaaaahscript. UPDATE: ( )

Another awesome class from John. The one great thing about John's classes is that each one is short enough to watch on the go. So it doesn't matter where you are if you got a few mins to spare you can learn something new. Its nice to have a long class sometimes but short can be sweeter too. A++ class on jQuery.

This course is absolutely perfect for beginners. The instructor writes the syntax at an appropriate pace and also EXPLAINS the meaning and order which is sometimes rare in other courses. I've purchased a few and this one is the best yet. THANK YOU!

Being new to JQuery was remedied by this course. In small incremental steps John Bura takes you through the syntax of JQuery. He also shows you some features of JQuery to get the hang of it. After completing this course the real studying and work starts. Building some web functionality in JQuery. Enjoy.

Thanks John for this greate jQuery tutorial! I'm not a complete beginner when it comes to jQuery. However, I did not learn it properly so I've decided to give this tutorial a shot. Although I already know most of it, I still discovered something new. Thanks for this! Cheers :)

its good knowing you can reference java script using j query as well the experience in the creative which really would like more lesson on.
