Communication courses I've taken in the past deliver only basic facts and general concepts of communication. Kain uses a personal and engaging approach while building a connection with the viewer. He goes in to depth into what it takes to improve our communication skills and build stronger connections while introducing different models and theories as well as some psychology. This training delivered more than I could expect and answered questions and doubts I had regarding my own communication skills. He talks about situations in which I found myself struggling when trying to communicate with people who communicate differently than I do and gave insights and techniques into managing how to communicate with others. Each episode left me reflecting on my own experiences and this course has transformed the way I think and made me more self aware. I wish I had found this course earlier in my life when struggling with my communication skills.

This course is phenomenal! I feel like i have learned so many things and it has helped me to see where i was going wrong in communicating. Some things i didn't even realize weren't great habits/patterns, so this allowed me to take a good look at myself and i now have the tools to address the problems i have identified/areas where i could use some improvements in communicating. Thank you for this wonderful course, can't wait to check out the others!

This is the third course presented by Kain Ramsay on Udemy that I have taken this year, and I continue to learn self-improvement skills, in this case, interpersonal relations through effective communication. Below are some key takeaways from the course that either reaffirm what I know and continue to practice, or provide additional insights. • We’re communicating all the time, even when we’re not saying anything, thus the adage, “Action speaks louder than words.” • There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to effective communication. It will be contextual and will depend on your message, your tone, and your audience, among others. • There are billions of people in the world today, and not everyone is deserving of your time, energy, and attention – and vice versa. While forming a connection with others goes much deeper than communicating, it’s not always applicable. • We hear the term “monologue” when someone gives a speech or addresses an audience unilaterally. Monologue also refers to a one-sided conversation. There are people who have no genuine interest in listening; they just talk, talk, and talk. They only care about what they have to say, or they’re only concerned about arguing their point of view, which they believe is the only one that is valid. • Good communication involves actively listening, free from judgment or the need to agree to disagree. It’s more important to listen and understand. • Some people often place too much emphasis on agreement or being in harmony, which should not always be the focus when they communicate with others. We all have different points of view or preferences. What’s more important is how we manage and work through those differences. • Sometimes the best advice you can give someone is nothing. People don’t need to be told what to do all the time. • Perception is not always reality. When people behave in a certain way, we often make assumptions about them. This pattern of thinking (mind-reading, judging, jumping to conclusions) is unhelpful. Even if something is bothering someone, we should not assume their behavior is directed at us. • Authenticity matters. Just be yourself instead of putting on a mask or a façade and pretending to be someone you’re not. Use your own unique voice.

I like the idea of building the foundation first and then going on with more practical stuff. At this point, I feel it would be more relatable if some situations and how could they be handled be provided/shown. It talks about self awareness and self management and heat of the moment; but what and how to do in "that" heat of the moment - it doesn't talk about that. It doesn't talk address the issue where you don't have an option (or is not a good option considering other factors) to switch company and still be able to communicate effectively.

Often time I feel like my family members misunderstand me and I would like to learn to spot these moments and to learn how to clarify these moments with them on the spot ( help them to understand me also to understand them better) in a peaceful, pleasant way. And also i want to improve my nonverbal communication skills. Because I really think that is where my problems because my intensions are good.

I am not a good communicator that's why I take this course. And I am not an English native, that's why sometimes it takes time for me absorb to understand well. In this course, I have learned some ways of better communication that I always heard from speakers. I hope this course will have an additional update on discussions & important communications to have a positive outcomes from interviews. Because, I am always having a hard time on selling or expressing myself during interviews due to my lack of knowledge & experience in good communication. Like that I couldn't find the right words to say. So, I need such examples on how to say or speak a lines confidently from basic to a transformed conversation to a good communication and convince/persuade the interviewer to win or grant the job. Overall, it's a great course. I hope as Kain said on some other chapters, that sales was his thing. I hope he will make Sales Skills & Good Communications combined course, including how to impress the interviewer. God bless & more power. Thank you.

First another 'Thank You' to Kain Ramsay and Team for an insightful and supportive course, helping me on the way to become a better communicator. For me the main reason is to understand other people, develop better relationships and become a better me. This course has encouraged me to look further into storytelling and writing, something which is so enjoyable and certainly hooked me at times. I appreciate Kain's military background and can identify with it. It helped me to understand my husband a bit better and his sometimes 'abrupt and at times commanding' language, which is most likely based of his 20 year military carrier. This helped me, thanks. Speaking of honesty sometime in the middle of the course all students were encouraged to take a quiz. I took the quiz, knowing the correct answers but also being aware that there was a huge room of improvement there to live the answers, not just tick a box to get the satisfaction of being right and getting a pat on the shoulder.Ticking a box or living it, huge difference. I am trying to live it. You, Kain Ramsey are the living proof that change can happen, if we commit to it. There is hope!

Kain is a fantastic instructor. He explained everything so well, very natural, didn't go overboard, just the right amount and gave true real life examples. I could relate to everything he was saying which helped me understand the material even more. Everything was exactly what I wanted to learn. I would definitely take any other course Kain offers. VERY VALUABLE!!!

Most of the courses i took on communication skills were not that effective because they would teach the core skills but not go deeper on empathy - which is the no 1 pre requisite on learning to be a good communicator. Throughout the course Kain emphasizes empathy building exercises and on top of it the core communication skills blend in easily. I wish to see practical real life examples of this in a future course that shows the live examples of how conversation plays out when you are using both good and bad listening skills- it will be both entertaining and sticky.
