This course covers a lot of material regarding C++, however considering it is listed as an Advanced course I would have liked to see more Modern C++ usage in the examples such as use of range-based loops , lambdas and such. The instructor does a good job covering the material, but has seemed to have dipped out of the course as of late so that is a bit disappointing.

it is a really interesting course and well explained. The examples that are possible to download help a lot. I'm really happy about this course. Sometimes the teacher is fast but we have to mind that C++ is not an easy language and we should study in parallel with book or google.

This is a high quality course and a good follow-on for the basic C++ course by the same author. The code style is also a good one to follow for ones own implementation in terms of "cleanness". Since it is an advanced coding, I would have appreciated the following as well: 1. A bit more detail on how to structure ones code for "cleanness" and maintainability. Especially for writing large programs. 2. A bit of detail on good versioning of ones program and good coding philosophies. (once again for writing large programs). I realize that this is related more to coding in general and not c++ alone, but some pointers in this regard might be good. Thanks for an insightful course.

I took Mike's 'Learn To Program With C++' course and loved it! I just completed this course and it is just as good. He uses good examples and explains things clearly and thoroughly. Not much more to say. If you want to learn learn C++, you're at the right place.

Well organized. Methodical. A good experienced teacher. Good examples for early and late binding. A good thorough careful walk thru of c++ step by step but starting fairly basic Could mention new more pervasive syntax for { } style init in C++1 but this is a short overview and can't do everything... Another smallish point is alphabetic and lexicographic are not exactly the same as claimed, in lexicographic a number is collapsed to be as if a single character a123b is higher than a9b lexicographically but not alphabetically... a nit but... a difference... overall an excellent short course and a good teacher

This course is helpful for all beginners who successfully finished a beginners course for C++. It shows a few more important concepts and helpful datatypes. However, for a real advanced programmer there is not too much to learn. Maybe in the future there will be more words about why to use stack or heap with each datatype (list, binary tree etc.), or about what happens under the hood of string class. Often in this course it's just shown how a class or a function is used, which is for beginners absolutely fine but for advanced programmers does only mean skip material. Therefor because of the lack of any background information -1 star.

Very powerful concepts gone over such as polymorphism, inheritance, sorting and search algorithms, namespaces, and data structures. The course had great small lectures on each topic, and at the end of each chapter which was about 5-7 videos each on average, there would be couple exercises that covered the concepts gone over but in a more realistic application. Overall, great course to refresh/learn the more advanced concepts in C++.

I love that this course builds up on the previous course for learning C++! I learned a bunch of new things, and I do think this is worth the value of buying if you want to learn a bit more advanced C++ programming. The only reason why I didn't rate it 5-stars is because there are some things that are a bit weird and I don't understand fully why he did it that way, but other than that, it is a great course! I would love to see maybe some quiz questions for recap on each chapter, but even without it, the course is still pretty great. Would recommend to people who want to go above their knowledge of basic C++!

I liked this course, as it was a good refresher for me. I don't think I'd recommend it to someone who is _initially_ learning Advanced/Intermediate levels of C++ programming. Gripes: 1. One lecture is actually missing half of what is supposed to be there. I've already filed a complaint about this. 2. A not negligible amount of bad, inefficient, or outdated coding methods/naming conventions scattered throughout the lectures. 3. Unanswered questions between several months and several years old. 4. All lectures always in a single file...? That's silly, but adaptable, at least. Infinite Skills has replied to a few of these issues, but it seems like this course is not being maintained or updated. If you are just learning advanced C++ programming for the first time, this course wouldn't cause more harm than good, but you would leave it unsatisfied with plenty of gaps. However, for my needs, it was pretty much perfect, so it gets 3 stars for me liking it. If Infinite Skills addresses my gripes, I will happily revisit my review and update it.

Covers lots of topics (seems to get less complex at the end, not sure how advanced namespaces and string manipulation is). The instructor can go a little fast at times, but I just kept on pausing the tutorial and trying code myself before moving on. It would have been better if the exercises involved the user trying to solve a problem themselves rather than just an extension of the chapter. Overall I thought the content was good.
