A lot of the time I'm seeing the instructor move this from here to there, rename that, change this property here, but there's never an explanation why. It might be best to start with the design or use case, then do the steps needed and each step of the way explain why we need this or that, what it does etc. Too much appears to be blindly copying what he's doing, and my work's site structure isn't the same as We.Learn's. On the upside I may use this as a reference for how to do various tasks, even if I don't understand the workings of it.

Very preciously explained course on AEM. The author Jasvinder has put together lot of capabilities of AEM a developer must have while working on AEM into this course. This course, for sure, will help the students to get maximum of AEM development. However the students have to go thru each resource thoroughly to achieve/get more out of this course. It was a good match for me, indeed. However, I think that the first "baby steps" should be better explained... Like, for example, I'm strugling to setup my development environment to connect to the aem cloud platform. Without this, I couldn't do the exercises, only watch

So far good structural overview. I thought word labs implied actual environment would be available to use. You need to separately get and install AEM to do any of the labs. Udemy does not have a hosting environment to do the work. Labs just means the instructor does a realtime demonstration on video of earlier discussed. overview. There are many other sources of videos to watch people work in AEM.

Yes, very helpful. I do wish that there was a little more thorough walkthrough of the code used instead of simply importing and moving on. I would especially appreciate a video on making calls to the various objects, or an explainer on how to use AEM documentation to figure out what methods and classes are available and how they can be used.

It looks like he knows what he's doing, but he's using packages that he made before and that doesn't really helps to start a new project from scratch. Also, when you're in a real life project you have to think about many other things like integrating with react and creating java models, when do I need to code a model? Why? how does it work? many many questions, btw I have to keep on watching to see if somehow I manage to understand this technology.

Hi, I have not seen the instructor walking thru the entire process of creating at least a site with its components, which is a big disappointment for me. Do we have any AEM course module in Udemy that provides a walk thru from scratch to final site publishing? The course provided a walkthrough of the consoles and an intro to important terminology.

I have already known the info , wt u r providing. need some more indepth info regarding Sling resource along with servlets I want explanation from component creation by using sling resourceType and Paths in eclipse by real time example atleast one . could you please elaborate the same.. It provides a solid overall introduction to AEM and covers a wide area of terms and concepts. On the negative side, it is inexplicable that almost none of the examples exist nor are provided on git. What is provided as resources in lectures are just single files, even though AEM offers an easy way of exporting an importing self-contained packages. This is unfortunately, a heavy omission. To be fair, there is a chapter with comprehensive Labs, and these examples are structured good enough and with usable script files.
