Then we will look at the PaaS service , i.e. Azure Web Apps. We will see how to publish web applications onto the Azure Web App service. Then we will see how we can connect a web application to an Azure SQL database instance. And finally we will look at the Azure Function App service. We will look at hosting functions. And see how to connect the Functions onto an Azure SQL database.
Develop for Azure storage
Again , we will break this topic into 2 sections. One is for the Azure Storage Account service and the other is for the Azure Cosmos DB service. We will look at each service in detail. And then we will see how to use .NET 8.0 to interact with each service.
Implement Azure security
Again , we will break this topic into 2 sections. In the first section, we will focus on understanding Azure Active Directory and how we assign permissions. Then we will see how to work with Application Objects and then with Managed Identities.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Azure solutions
In this section, we will first cover monitoring. We will look at aspects such as working with Azure Monitor and then Application Insights. And then finally look at the caching services like Azure Redis Cache and Azure CDN.

The author has covered most of the topics listed in AZ-204. The explanations are simple and easy to follow. This course is a good starting point for beginner Azure developers. However, to pass the certification, practical hands-on experience is essential, as theoretical knowledge alone is not enough. Even though AZ-204 has now been retired, this course is still a good starting point for beginners.

Having completed this course as preparation for the Microsoft AZ-204 certification exam, I can confidently say it serves as a strong foundation for Azure development concepts. The course is comprehensive in its coverage of the exam objectives and provides valuable hands-on exposure that is essential for the certification. The course emphasizes hands-on learning throughout . The instructor walks through actual Azure Portal navigation and implementation scenarios rather than just reading slides. This practical approach is crucial because the exam tests real-world application knowledge, not just theory. The course content is logically organized, progressing from core concepts to more complex topics . The instructor's explanations are clear, making even complex Azure services accessible to developers at various experience levels. The inclusion of code walkthroughs—particularly helpful even if the primary language is not C#—reinforces understanding through demonstration . Comprehensive Topic Coverage The course covers all required AZ-204 exam domains, including Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, App Services, Storage solutions, and integration services . Multiple videos are devoted to each sub-objective, providing depth beyond surface-level treatment .

I gained so much of knowledge from this course and it is very useful course. It gave me so much of knowledge on Azure cloud services and my learning journey with this course is quite good and I am keep on learning

Very detailed information about the basic protocols and process behind hosting any services on Azure. People just starts from IIS and now kubernetes (for docker containers) where they did not know about the actual virtual machines hosted behind these terminologies.

Content is good, enough resources are provided. The accent of the speaker is somewhat confusing at times. Chapters are unnecessarily divided which makes the navigation experience a little chaos. Few videos could be combined instead of uploading them to separate chapters. This course will help us a bit to clear the AZ-204 Certification. But the main certification is much more thajn this. Practice more on the MS learn platform. Analyze each answer and question the other options as well for each answers.

The tutorial provides a detailed walkthrough of Azure services, which is very helpful. However, the content is split into too many very short segments, making it difficult to stay focused while learning. Organizing the material into slightly longer videos—around 15–20 minutes each instead of multiple 2–5 minute clips would improve the learning.
By Iqbal Ansari on 1/29/2026
So far, the learning experience has been excellent. The content is thoughtfully organized and delivered in a clear, easy-to-understand manner. Overall, it is very well structured.

I think the video and audio were very well recorded. The course creator is very clear about the concepts that he will cover. Most importantly, he has a very clear, controlled and neutral delivery which I find exceptional as compared to other courses (and I have taken a few). There is no over-smartness or unnecessary inflection in his voice. For a course that is more that 26 hours long, that is a very important criterion to me.

This course is very helpful in helping me pass my AZ-204 exam. I took a course from iamtimcorey.com first. That seemed to help me get the basics of Azure down first. This course has some challenging lectures, but that is great practice for the exam. Plus I like this course because the course has a built in QA forum, and you can message the instructor!
By Yash Kumar on 11/27/2025
This course is fabulous. From the start till now, Alan explain everything smoothly . The concepts is like now made space in my mind, and now I am able to understand how things work in Microsoft Azure Architecture.
