Meet Mike — the HR Architect Behind a Preply Unicorn and 200+ Amazon Books

Udemy features me as a Popular Instructor in Human Resources — a status assigned based on ratings, course quality, and category impact.

Before Preply became a $1.2B unicorn, I built the HR operating system that let it scale fast without breaking culture, engagement, or performance. I don't just teach HR. I build HR systems that work under hyper-growth, investor pressure, global teams, and messy processes — then I turn them into courses you can use on Monday morning.

Companies where I built HR systems

Wargaming · Preply · iDeals · PeopleForce · Alfa-Bank · StarLightMedia · and other international tech and gaming companies.

The Preply case (before the headlines)

- Headcount: ~50 → 110+

- eNPS: 30 → 70 in 6 months

- International workforce: 12% → 25%

- OKRs, performance management, and 1:1 leadership routines implemented

- Onboarding system + Employee Handbook

- HR tech stack (15Five, ATS, People Analytics)

- Berlin office launch, relocation & visa operations

That is not HR theory. That is operational HR at scale, under unicorn pressure.

There is a ton of valuable information that I hadn't known before, so thank you for creating such a comprehensive course!

By Abhinav Parashar on 11/18/2025

everything has been explained in an effective manner along with highlighting all the important AI tools required for streamlining the recruitment process.

By Julie Tinel on 10/20/2025

This Udemy course — “AI Recruitment: Automating and Optimizing Hiring Processes” — was honestly super helpful. It gave me both practical tools and strategic insights that I can actually apply in my daily work. I really appreciated how clearly it explained complex AI topics and connected them to real recruitment scenarios. If you’re in HR, TA, or just curious about how AI can make hiring smarter and more efficient, I definitely recommend it!

By Ricardo Videira on 9/13/2025

I liked the course, but I found it quite strange that it was based on a live session. You can clearly notice that the content had already been presented live and was just recorded, with the instructor mainly delivering information (in some parts you can even tell he’s addressing a live audience). He did show several AI tools and provided some good context, although I’d say the marketing section felt unnecessary for the vast majority of recruiters.

Different types of recruitment tools which we can use and enhance our skills by utilizing the AI tools available and become a future ready Talent Acquisition or the Recruitment personnel. Thank you

By Jackson Huang on 5/29/2025

Content was fairly useful, however, the speaker seemed like it was AI generated and was very choppy and incoherent at times. It would cut itself off and continue on a slightly different topic. The video was not synced with the speaker as well.

By Ірина Синиця on 5/23/2025

Because, the author presents even more AI tools, than I was expected. Great thing that the tools are compared, this gives the understanding which tools are the most suitable.

By Elray Butler on 5/7/2025

This course applies towards learning more about how AI tools and platforms will make my job easier

By Anonymized User on 5/7/2025
