Angular 22 Mastery: Harness Signals, defer, @if, @for and More for Advanced Core and Common Module Features

Created by: Hashmath Rz

Last updated September 2026

Our take

Based on the ratings of 1,006 students, a sample of their written reviews and the syllabus, as the course stood in September 2026. No course pays to be reviewed.

Hashmath Rizvi's Angular 22 course is a 44-hour, 562-lecture tour of Angular's core features, built for people starting from scratch. It opens with an AI-era intro and a TypeScript primer, then works through standalone components, templates, directives, pipes, lifecycle hooks, change detection and signals. The syllabus shows no quizzes or coding exercises, so this is lecture and code-along, not an app-building project. It was last updated in September 2026, and most section titles are tagged Angular 22.

Reviewers mostly like the teaching. They describe clear explanations, a useful opening on what to expect in the AI era, and fundamentals that get rebuilt from the ground up, and about 850 of the 1,006 ratings are four or five stars. The complaints are consistent, though. The last three sections are labeled old way, and reviewers say the later material mixes NgModule-era and standalone content, partly out of order. Others report audio and video sync problems, a fast, sometimes mumbled delivery, repetition, and no downloadable source code or notes.

One reviewer says the RxJS section looks like it came from another instructor, and another says the HttpClient and RxJS sections were removed after purchase. The syllabus lists no separate HTTP or RxJS section, so check that before buying if you need them. It suits beginners who want broad fundamentals and will build their own project alongside. Skip it for modern routing and forms, or a single finished app.

Best forBeginners who want Angular 22 fundamentals and signals explained conceptually, and who will code along on their own project.
Skip it ifYou want a finished app project, source code, or routing and forms taught the modern standalone way.

Pros

  • Clear, conceptual explanations that reviewers say rebuilt their Angular fundamentals
  • Opens with straight talk on learning Angular fundamentals in the AI era
  • A 46-lecture signals section, plus coverage of the older decorator approach
  • Wide syllabus: pipes, directives, change detection, lifecycle hooks and more

Cons

  • Later sections mix old NgModule content with newer standalone material, partly out of order
  • Reviewers report audio and video sync problems and fast, sometimes mumbled delivery
  • No quizzes, exercises, source code or notes, and no full project built
Excellent Angular course! The concepts are explained clearly with practical examples, making even complex topics easy to understand.

Course Description

This course will give you a solid foundation in Angular 22 by providing an in-depth tour of all the advanced features available in the Angular Core and Common modules.

These two baseline modules are the foundation for everything in Angular, so mastering them in detail is essential. Angular has evolved significantly over the years, and with the introduction of Signals, there are now multiple ways to approach certain tasks. In this course, we’ll cover each feature from both perspectives—using Signals and decorators, where applicable.

In this course, you’ll get a comprehensive guided tour of both basic and advanced functionalities available in these essential Angular modules, including features like Angular Elements.

We’ll cover everything from the most commonly used Angular features to the more advanced topics, such as change detection modes, style isolation, dependency injection, content projection, internationalization, standalone components, and more.

The course assumes no prior Angular experience. Each concept builds upon the previous one, so there are no forward references, making the learning process smooth and logical.

While we start with Angular fundamentals, the course quickly transitions to intermediate and advanced topics, ensuring there's something for developers at every level.

To help you master the standalone components feature, we’ll dedicate a section on how to migrate existing applications to use standalone components and remove NgModules completely.

Course Overview

We’ll begin with a quick, practical introduction to the Angular framework. You’ll set up your development environment and use the Angular CLI to quickly scaffold a project.

With this playground, we’ll answer common Angular questions: Why Angular? What are its main advantages and key features? You’ll learn about change detection and get introduced to Angular’s template syntax.

Next, we’ll explore all the features of the Angular Core and Common modules, including:

  • Custom components with @Component

  • Components @Input and @Output, and event Emitters

  • Control flow syntax: @if, @for, @switch

  • Directives: ngFor, ngIf, ngClass, ngStyle, ngSwitch

  • @defer for partial template loading

  • Observables, Built-In Pipes, Async Pipe, and Custom Pipes

  • @Injectable and Custom Services

  • Lifecycle Hooks (ngOnInit, ngOnDestroy, etc.)

  • HTTP Client - GET, POST, PUT, DELETE

  • @ViewChild, @ViewChildren, @ContentChild, @ContentChildren

  • Content Projection with ng-content and ng-template

  • Change Detection (Normal and OnPush), View Encapsulation

  • Structural and Attribute Directives (@Directive, @Host, @HostListener, @HostBinding)

  • Dependency Injection (@Inject, @Optional, @Self, @SkipSelf)

  • Custom Change Detection

  • Angular Elements and Standalone Components

  • Angular Signals and much more.

What Will You Learn In This Course?

By the end of this course, you will have advanced, practical knowledge of Angular 22. You’ll be confident in building Angular applications, with a detailed understanding of everything offered by Angular’s Core and Common modules.

This course starts off brilliant with context of real world expectation and possibility...

By Charles Snead on 9/1/2026

Excellent straight talk on the value of learning the fundamentals and how AI fits into this.

By Kaushikkumar Halvadia on 8/6/2026

Excellent Angular course! The concepts are explained clearly with practical examples, making even complex topics easy to understand. The hands-on projects and real-world approach helped me improve my Angular skills significantly. Highly recommended for both beginners and experienced developers.

By Vijay Kumar Kolakaluri on 7/2/2026

The concept explanation was good, but the rxjs section seems you are not the author of that concept and used the video from another instructor. I hope you will check and update the concept properly. I will get back to you again to see it is updated or not. If you update the course i will takeback my review.

By Krishna M Konda on 5/30/2026

I get what I need. The quality of the videos were not good and may be some of the topics will be elaborated and not covered the environment specifics, how the application deployed on each environment.

By Krati Laad on 4/2/2026

Awesome lecture, very conceptual. Was searching like this from a few years. I came to brush up Angular and familiarize with new 21 verson, but my fundamentals are getting rebuilt here. Thanks.

By Raghavender Gandu on 2/9/2026

Sometimes the voice is not very clear. From section 11 onward, the course becomes unstructured, and there are audio-video sync issues. There is no downloadable content or source code, and important topics like signals were not covered.

By Atishay Jain on 1/9/2026

For me this course is helpful as it clears my basics about all the concept in a very simple way so even after you took a break the concept will be in your mind.

By Milind Kumar Kamle on 12/16/2025

thank you, it's very much useful content, wonderful way of explanation, able to grasp all the topics in single go.

By Anonymized User on 12/5/2025
