"Great course, very complete with good examples and challenges. Very helpful resources. When in need of a topic easy to find the salient videos. Kiril knows his stuff and anticipates a student's potential problems and therefore attacks a topic with a learning perspective, rather than just presenting the material.Same for his Vaadin course." Jamal Phillips

"This is a solid course. It is well organized and paced. Useful information is presented and supported with relevant examples. There is enough value in this presentation to forgive the heavy accent. I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to familiarize themselves with Maven." Piotr Karpiak

"This was a great Maven course, it covers a lot aspects of Maven programming in an easy-to-understand way with great examples. The instructor does very well explaining everything and pointing out real-world use." Bougher Aelouafi

Kiril Anastasov

Hi, my name is Kiril Anastasov and I have been a programmer for over 8 years, creating Web, Desktop, and Mobile applications.

I am a fully certified Java Developer (Java Oracle Certificate), and have a lot of experience with Java, Spring Boot, Maven & Databases.

I am really passionate about teaching and sharing my experience with others. I love making the hard and complex subjects easy to understand. Like, in university I was helping my fellow ----- with their homework's and assignments.

I focus on creating training material that actually teach you how to program. A big difference is that whereas most of the courses you tend to follow blindly my courses provide you with practical skills. If you really want to understand how things work and how to become a better programmer, you are in the right place!

On a quest to provide you with the education you have never received!

The instructor chose a good variety of topics to cover. Most of the instructions were clear and I could easily repeat them in my Eclipse installation. There were some problems with continuity; for example, a lesson from a section would end with the terminal being in one directory and the next would start with the terminal in a different directory but the instructor would not comment on the change. I found section 8 M2E Eclipse Plugin to be far poorer than the rest of the course. It appears that it was added after the rest of the course was finalized. A number of lessons were unfinished, specifically, section 52 where the MixedCase java file is left unfinished. The instructor's choice of plugin-site-1 for generating the archetype does not work. Others produced varying errors including one that installs the subdirectories of the project directly into the Eclipse workspace. I struggled with getting MwDependicies to compile. I finally found that I needed to modify the InstalledJRE to get it to work. Perhaps that is showing my ignorance of some of the fundamentals of Eclipse. To sum up, you will learn the mechanics of Maven from this course. It does, however, remind me of my initial calculus classes where I learned techniques of differentiation and integration--the how-to--but not the underlying theory or thinking behind what was going on.

The course is a good introduction, but not very in-depth. The basic plugins are just glanced through and you will need to google them to be able to use them on your own

The spoken language could be more understandable (at least subtitles are welcome). Too much text slides; for the beginner it could be messy.

The course content was very good. But, the instructor did not explain some of the very basic concepts. He keeps on typing in certain things without explaining the purpose. I still need to refer to some reference material to understand some very basic concepts even after attending this course which is a waste of time. Many a times he just spells out what he is typing or what we can clearly read from the reference material he is pointing us to. But he didn't explain them.

Excellent in-depth coverage and a complete course. It would have been nice to change the sequencing of the chapters and bring lifecycle and goals sections in the beginning of the course only. Also the typewriter sound at the start and end of every chapter is little irritating. Overall all the topics are covered well with good intentions. Enjoying it now..

I have not yet finished the course but until now everything is perfect. Kiril is a great instructor and has covered every topic in a very efficient way and has cleared all the doubts perfectly without any delay. Also the course outline is also very good. I feel very much comfortable now with Maven. I hope Kiril keeps on adding new content to the course and make it complete in every way.

This is a solid course. It is well organized and paced. Useful information is presented and supported with relevant examples. There is enough value in this presentation to forgive the heavy accent. I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to familiarize themselves with Maven.

The lecturer is obviously knowledgeable about Maven and I am enjoying learning. However I wish he was able to better pause/break between explaining bullet points or moving from one page to another or from one topic to another. This would allow for me, a thoughtful moment, to better absorb the learning from somebody who has much more knowledge in this area! Nevertheless keep up the good work!

Just an amazing course! I've couldn't even anticipated such a comprehensive and detailed online course. Nice start to Maven and Java programming, but in my opinion not enough to land you in the Junior position (that being said not against this course but toward more practice after its finishing). Worth every cent that you will spend on it. Greatly recommending! And thank you, Kiril!
