Course Description
A step-by-step guide to building an iPhone or iPad app for Beginners. This is a course designed for beginners who have never coded in Objective-C or build an iOS app.
In this iOS development video-based training course, expert developer and trainer Bob McCune teaches you how to build iOS apps using the iOS SDK from Apple. iOS is the standard SDK (software development kit) for iPad, iPhone and iPad devices. Using the SDK, Bob walks you through creating a fully functional app, and applying the tools and techniques available to you.
In this iOS development tutorial, you start by accessing, downloading and setting up the SDK from Apple. Next, you will explore and setup Xcode to build your App. You will cover essential Objective-C topics, such as classes, methods, building objects, and coding conventions. Jumping right into development, you will work with strings, controllers, manage application data, create views and other UI elements, and work with iCloud. You will learn how to create a universal project, and create specific interfaces for each device.
By the completion of this iOS development tutorial course you will be able to create a fully functioning iPhone or iPad app.

His clear explanations during the course on iOS development using Objective-C significantly improved my understanding. I gained a wealth of knowledge and skills from this course.

Though the course is a bit old but it very much fulfilled my needs of gathering some decent knowledge about Objective-C. The instructor is very knowledgable and to the point.

Don’t waste your time! The Xcode examples are so old they can’t be followed in the current version of Xcode. There is genuinely very little value in a 6+ year old tutorial, the environment has completely changed!

I am now very happy with that experienced skills and got more knowledge about iOS, then i love it very much and go into deep with it, Now, it's time to get more deep to deep with my apps so thanks to that course, i am now considered as iOS Developer.

It is a very well-organized course that begins with basic topics like "how to operate the IDE" and slowly adds more complex concepts and code over time until you are basically making a semi-complex, iCloud-using, multiplatform (iPhone / iPad) application for iOS. Also, forgot to mention the fact that each individual topic was covered precisely and to the point.

Bob McCune covers many key iOS topics, using Objective-C. [If you're new to iOS dev, you're probably using Swift -- but you'll need to be able to read Objective-C in order to grok the vast body of iOS knowledge.] The TESTING section (incl'g mock objects/classes) is worth the whole course. There are tons of other gems.

I'd rate it higher if it was current. Even though it is iOS 5 and Xcode 4 it will work in iOS 7 and Xcode 5. I was able to complete the app and the course, so if you've done any iOS development already you should be ok. He is a good presenter and trainer, unlike some other iOS courses here, and the material is quite good.

Great run through a full app that realistically covers the kinds of functions you would put into non-game application. Worth the money and worth watching a few times to get it all down.

Amazing teaching technique. The course is really productive and the organization of which is just awesome! But lacks of of information about data management (core data and sqlite3). Although he talks about NSCoding (which is really good), it wouldn't have a bad a idea to give an example of how the data would have been save using other techniques. Beside that, A very complete course.

Bob McCune does a great job getting you started and taking you deep into iOS development in a relatively short period. The iMusic sample app that the course revolves around teaches you all of basics you need to know to get your first app designed, built, tested and submitted to the App Store. The only improvements I would suggest would be to cover a little more on how to get development apps onto colleague's iPhones and iPads (for testing) and a "best practices" of how to get your app submitted and approved (perhaps sharing some lessons learned). Great job Bob! ..Michael..
