Course Description

In this course you'll learn to use Microsoft's Blazor Stack Overflow's Dapper Micro-ORM to rapidly developer modern data-driven asynchronous websites. Many people prefer Dapper to Entity Framework because it's simple, lightweight, and doesn't hide the SQL code from you. The techniques you learn here should prepare you for data-driven website development for the 2020 - 2030 decade.

I give this 5 stars because it covers what it said. CRUD for Dapper using Blazor. But, there are some bad practices used in this video that should have been called out by the author to let the beginners know not to follow them. Some of the main ones are: * Never set "return" to true or false directly. * Include error trapping and logging. Another call out is, most of the time when we add an item to the database, we will need to return the ID of that added item. It is one of the hardest concepts for beginners and is always good to show in these types of videos.

This course gave me exactly what I needed to get up and running with Dapper in a few hours so that I could start a new project at work with confidence. Everything was well explained and backed up with simple examples.

Great intro for Dapper. The teacher explains very well the concepts of CRUD operations. If you want to start using Dapper with stored procedures as well that's a good way to begin. Thank you Mr. Alan Simpson for sharing this course for free!

The code resource should have been listed in the course first. Would have been nice to have the icon resources in the beginning. Also, several editing steps seem to be missing from section 4-15. Other than that, ok course.

A quick course that did not waste so much time on info and headed into coding (a little introduction and the rest was coding). On a personal note, it could have been a lot better if the author had spent time to go over details such as architecture and components; would help developers with no prior knowledge and experience with said technologies.

I loved this course because the author spent time showing you how to code things. He didn't waste my time with PowerPoint slides describing architecture of Blazor or its options. He got right into the code. I also GREATLY appreciate that he used Dapper instead of Entity Framework. Great instructor, easy to understand. Video quality was right on as well.

I like the video. He admits even he has sample databases to learn with. Something that not many instructors admit to. I will create the application he showed us then create one of my own. I liked this video. I ran through this course twice, the first is to view it an the second to write the code. I had fun with it. I was joking at work about my project, just to get to Create and Read of my project, I as QA would have written about 7 TFS bugs (LOL) on me the developer because of the error I entered. At least there was debug and Google. Thanks, John

Really useful, giving a good basic intro to both Dapper and Blazor. Only thing I either missed or could not find was the href links for edit/delete etc, wasn't certain of the syntax, found it once i downloaded code.

Very good introduction to Blazor for those coming from another C# development environment - for example, razor pages or WPF. Just the right level and video duration to cover the subject while keeping it interesting.

Quick course to get you going if you want to go over Blazor using CRUD, as a extra bonus you get to see how dapper works if you are unfamiliar. Does not however go over in big details but having prior knowledge/experience made it a nice course to go over
