Course Description

A MUST for fans of both classic and modern Blues, taught by top UK session guitarist, Bobby Harrison.

In this, the first volume of FretHub’s new Blues Guitar series, Bobby takes you through the many variations of the classic Blues Shuffle groove, teaching you how to solo authentically in a blues jam environment as well as playing some tasteful rhythm guitar parts.

There’s a great 48-bar solo to learn, featuring many essential blues licks and techniques, plus some valuable restriction and phrasing exercises, enabling you to build up your soloing vocabulary using just a small area of the neck.

You’ll also learn how to build solos using a more lyrical approach, as well as some great ideas for using chord tones in your lead breaks. This is a comprehensive, 15 part video lesson series not to be missed.

It was worth learning. I learned many new things ,most importantly...blues scale in every key, and many new licks and tricks. Now i can use them in my solo and make it more creative. It was fun learning! thank you Bobby sir and udemy.

curso bastante bom! e pena não ter as tableturas do que esta a ser explicado. as primeiras 4 video aulas são mesmo para principiantes embora depois tenha informações e matérias bastante úteis para qualquer aluno. o curso e bom.

Overall a pretty good course with a lot of gems to take for your lick/riffs arsenal. Definitely appreciated the "touch on rhythm" with 7th and 9th chords. That being said...I know you guys don't tab because your "ol school" but seriously though....tabs really would help a bit...just saying. Still thumbs up!!!

Very well explained, but would be fantastic with PDF partition of exercices and solos Great solo to learn and I have now a well basic understanding on how to create a solo. (basic theory of music is required) Cant't wait to go on the next lesson !! Thanks !!

I gave 3 stars because you'll learn usefull things but it is poorly documented as an course on its own. There's NO documentation for chord shapes or tablature provided so you need to search for those things on your own. Very beginner unfriendly.

Really like all the FretHub courses - nice pace with lots of solo ideas and plenty of useful theory as well, but introduced as part of the play along. Fun presenter and the course covers the key scales and theory, rhythm basics and an extended solo.

By Robertwatson on 4/6/2017

It's my favourite way of learning.I have very good ears and the hands on approach is perfect for me.I also prefer to learn theory by showing me and listening than study written theory.i would have gone to 5stars if tabs were also available, as that helps me learn a lot quicker as I can copy them and take them with me.

Advanced level course with lots of details, will have to watch this one over multiple times as there are a lot of great details to pick up. Break down was very well explained even though it will require a lot of effort to play by ear and also go by the explanations provided.

Great Teacher! May be "Guide" is a better title. Some say you can't "teach" the Blues. I don't know but Bobby can straight up play! Whats important to me is he feels it! You can hear it in his playing! He has the ability to guide you through a lot of great Blues Guitar material. Solid course.
