The course provided a good framework that I could expand on with further studies, though I personally would have preferred a bit more in-depth look into things like the GATT specification. Many times a term was mentioned without much context and I had to pause the lesson to go read about it from an external source. The coding parts had a fair bit of repetition and I would have preferred if the lessons built on top of each other instead of starting a new project every time. Additionally, I would have liked a simple diagram at the start of a coding lesson that shows what functions we will be implementing and how they relate to one another to make the goal of the lesson a bit more clear. Overall though I don't think my time was wasted here and providing a framework for future learning is a valuable thing.

This course combines theory and application with good hands-on examples. I like the instructor's approach to clear out all default settings in STM32CUBEmx and start the projects from scratch. It helps me to understand how to start a project from ground up. This is not an easy to task to put lots of knowledge and examples in the limited hours. Some of details are not explained. For example, In Read_Request_CB(uint16_t handle), handle is compared with "bpmCharHandle + 1". It is not explained. Overall, I am glad to take this course. It would be nice if the instructor can provide some background information or presentation slides to study in the future.

Class is structured great . BLE is complicated but if you go through this videos more than once you can at least get the theory. As far as actually getting the thing to work....you will be lucky if you have any hair left on your head as the software packs are extremely buggy, often don't work, don't get included when they should be. Expect frustration, expect spending 4 hours for every 1 hour of this class trying to get things to maybe work. FOr the most part, you will simply have to just download his code and pray that it works.

Great course and it really gets into the details on Bluetooth Low Energy. It's always good to give good feedback, but your later code writing one the chat coding example, did get confusing but ended up having to go back and forth to make sure everything was correct. But a great course.

The is the right course for coding bluetooth low energy device. The instructor was very patiently replying to all my messages. I face some difficulties in understanding some concepts in the beginning but that was cleared when a watched the video again. The course thoroughly teaches the bluetooth low energy protocol from a very theoretical perspective in the beginning the moves on to apply those concepts on the ST board, I found this approach very responsible and patiently made watched all the theoretical lessons, I will recommend this to future students.

This author's courses are spread. Or how to learn what you can learn in 1 hour in 5 hours. The course is full of greetings, saying goodbye, setting up the same code, still setting the same microcontroller, still clearing the code, searching for misspellings, finding forgotten semicolons, etc. All this instead of a good code explanation. And many theoretical slides instead of specific code. Inconsistent volume level, one chapter whisper, second chapter loud. Many important things I learned, but I expected a lot more. I would like to pay more money for a quality and comprehensive course.

The course presents a fairly good overview of BLE, which is a complex topic to get to grips with. For me, the most useful part of the course was the coding examples, these gave me a better idea of how a BLE server is put together and provided me with a template I could use to modify and extend, to do more specific tasks. However, the code presented in the videos is not always correct and this can be a problem if you 'code along' as I do; always worth checking against the downloadable project files. Another problem is that, despite being invited to ask questions, questions often never get answered.

The bluetooth protocol is discussed very well, the course provides theory accompanied with practical exercises- this type of material is very hard to find on the web when it comes to coding wireless firmware from scratch. I therefore appreciate the effort of the instructor putting all of this together in a single step-by-step approach. I recommend this course to anyone who wants to build a bluetooth device using stm32 microcontrollers.

This course has been direct and understandable so far. The instructor goes step by in each listen which I kindda appreciate. I particularly like how he spends so much time talking about the BLE protocol compared to other wireless protocols and giving real world use cases of ble. The coding examples are also straightforward and work as expected, although, so far nothing complex has been built. I have just finished the coding lesson on " advertising your presence near by BLE devices " . I will update this review as I see more of the course.

This is an excellent course. There is literally no material on the web for bluetooth low energy firmware development except for the arduino type already made libraries. Pros : This course teaches you almost everything you need to know about the bluetooth low energy protocol. I have worked with wireless protocols in the past and I am familiar with ble protocol on a theoretical level. This course also shows by practical examples how to code each block of the bluetooth protocol. Cons: The practicals in this course uses only the STM32 microcontroller and its companion ble module. The course could be highly improved if the instructor shows how to develop the ble firmware using modules and MCUs from other popular silicon manufacturers like Texas Instruments and Nordic Semiconductors. The instructor also spends too much time on the theoretical aspect of the protocol with long non changing slides, I understand he trying to cover almost every tiny detail found in the ble architecture manual but my guess is most student who are not very technical and do not come from a wireless protocol background will find this part very boring. All in all, personally I think its the best complete bluetooth low energy instructions you can find on the web. I hope the instructor will address these two issues to make the course even more beneficial.
