Course Description
Welcome to the Build Your Own RealTime OS (RTOS) From Ground Up™ on ARM 2 course
This course teaches you how to build Real-Time Operating Systems through intensive practice and theory. It starts by getting you excited through an introduction to the internals of a Real-Time Kernel on ARM Processors, which you shall implement yourself in code. Then we move on to learn all there is about Real-Time Operating Systems, their various parts, how they work and then we finally build our own Real-Time Operating System exploring different scheduling algorithms and Inter-Thread communication tools.
This course is a two part series. This is the second part of the series.
At the end of this course you should be able to build your own Real-Time Operating System from scratch, give your own lecture on Real-Time Operating Systems, be able to build a Round-Robin Scheduler, Priority Scheduler, Sporadic Scheduler, Periodic Scheduler, be able to calculate the CPU utilization of your RTOS, be able to build an OS Kernel etc. Please see the course curriculum section to find out all the amazing content awaiting you.

I found this course to be very useful and well-aligned with my career path. It served as an excellent refresher, and I appreciate how clearly you explained the material and provided practical examples throughout the sessions. Thank you for a great learning experience. Charles Lowe

Even though your explanations were moderate enough, your code is clean so that we could get a grasp the concept from it

This course is awful. It is supposed to be about concurrency, and yet it is full of bugs and race conditions. Moreover it covers almost the same topics as part 1 which, by the way, was also pretty bad. - Contents are very repetitive. For instance, the difference between "var |= flags" and "var &= ~flags" is repeated over and over and over. - Many sections are absolutely introductory and clearly do not belong to this course, specially given that this course is "part 2". -Many undelivered promises: "we will cover X later"... and X is never covered. Not worth the money at all, not even if you catch a "deal".

Awesome course. I always had doubts about inter process communication. And this course explains it very cleary.

Much better course than the first RTOS class. I think mostly avoiding the HAL for this class was the right choice.

Please upload the video again from chapter 5 & 6 till date as voice is not clear and audible. Some of the videos are broken in between and start once again.

I am glad the instructor took my advice to expand on the development of board support package and the use of Pendsv schedulers in this course.

I appreciate the emphasis put on periodic schedulers in this course. This is a natural continuation from the first course.

As always this instructor's course is not disappointing. He takes everything from scratch just like the other course no copy and paste. Because of this instructor I build my own rtos. I hope by the end of this new course I will be able to build more advanced rtos.

I have been long waiting for this course ever since I completed the first build your own rtos course sometime last year. That course was very helpful to me in the completion of my final year project. I am glad the instructor decided to create a part 2 of the course. I am currently in the middle of course and so far it is looking good. I appreciate the live coding and live problem solving and particularly I am finding the periodic schedulers section thoroughly helpful as it was only briefly touched on in the part 1 of the course. I will update my review when I complete the course.
