Marketing Strategy Fundamentals: The Art Of Selling Your Products Through Superb Marketing Efforts

Created by: 365 Careers

Last updated January 2026

Our take

Based on the ratings of 15,319 students, a sample of their written reviews and the syllabus, as the course stood in January 2026. No course pays to be reviewed.

A two-hour primer on classic marketing strategy from 365 Careers, the same shop behind a pile of finance and data courses. The syllabus covers marketing plans, research, segmentation, the four Ps, pricing, distribution, KPIs and customer lifetime value, then closes with a Tesla case study. It is aimed at aspiring entrepreneurs, executives without a business degree, and anyone who needs the textbook framework before talking to a marketing team. It is not about ads, SEO or social media.

With more than 15,000 reviews and a 4.5 rating, most students are happy. Reviewers praise the clear explanations and the practical examples, and one says it helped him make sense of the advertising he sees in the market. The listing also promises eight quizzes, course notes and PDFs. The complaints are sharper than the numbers suggest. One reviewer calls the narration an obvious AI voice that speaks too fast. Another says the quiz questions lean on 1990s pop culture rather than the lesson content, and is put off by how much the course admires Tesla. A one-star review sums it up as a lot of talk and no lesson.

The course was updated in January 2026, so the refresh is recent, but the reviews suggest the update did not touch the dated examples. Next to the 12-in-1 and 27-in-1 digital marketing bundles it sits beside, this is the short, theory-first option: a classical marketing framework in an afternoon, not a toolkit. Take it if you want the vocabulary an MBA would use. If you want to run a campaign this week, one of the bigger bundles is the better buy.

Best forFounders and non-marketing managers who need the classic strategy vocabulary in an afternoon, not a toolkit.
Skip it ifYou want hands-on digital tactics like ads, SEO or email, or you cannot sit through an AI voice-over.

Pros

  • Covers the full classic framework, from research and segmentation to pricing, KPIs and customer lifetime value
  • Short and tightly organised: 41 lectures across 10 sections, finished in about two hours
  • Eight quizzes plus course notes and PDFs, according to the listing, to reinforce each section
  • Practical examples that reviewers say make the concepts easier to grasp

Cons

  • Two reviewers call the narration obvious AI, and one says it talks too fast
  • Quiz questions lean on 1990s pop culture rather than the lesson content, per a recent review
  • Theory only: no digital tactics, no projects, and one reviewer finds the Tesla case study dated
The basic concepts were well explained. It's a great course for introduction to Marketing
Laura Amortegui Pena, a student

Marked all levels and the requirements agree: no business background needed. Reviewers describe it as an introduction to marketing.

  • Performing client segmentation

  • Selecting a target customer group

  • Understanding the 4Ps of Marketing

  • Classifying a firm’s products

  • The importance of product branding

  • Subtleties of product packaging

  • Understanding the factors shaping product pricing

  • The right way to approach product pricing

  • Organizing product distribution

  • Setting up an effective promotional campaign

  • Working with the four Ps of Marketing in a dynamic environment

By Silvia Salamanca on 3/3/2026

Section 1 Lesson 5 seems to be incorrect or taken from another course. Doesn't make sense in the context of this course.

By Greg Leslie on 2/3/2026

Woefully outdated AI slop. Some of the concepts are good content, but the way they're presented doesn't hold up. Quiz questions are also frequently relying on pop culture from 1990s rather than what's covered in the course. Lastly, the gushing over Tesla is downright gross as Musk's business practices and blatant bribery scandals unmasked what he was really doing.

By Alma Caballero on 1/27/2026

Es un curso, con muchas herramientas, un curso completo que por supuesto aplico en el día a día, graxcias, hasta ahora estos 5 modulos que he visto y revisado han sido de mucha utilidad y funcionalidad

By Lekobe Mahlabane Makgaretsa on 1/6/2026

I really learned a lot of Marketing and BUSINESS FUNDAMENTALS which in result was highly recommended for my business services as a Marketing Agent.

By Patricio Gerenni on 12/28/2025

It was a great course. Introduction topics but with Agile methodology to explain them and the images were fun to pay more attention to the videos. In addition, case´s studies of Tesla and Coca -Cola represent well the theory of the course. Well done guys.
