It is a simple course that gives a basic introduction to the syntax and fundamental methods of using C, C++, and Java, and what it did best was get me excited about C++. I stopped the course after that and only came back after studying and working with C++ for almost a year. For that excitement and the ease of our introduction, I am eternally grateful. This course is a good, short primer to get you started.

Probably should actually explain what things are rather than just what they do in the code. "You can use this for hexadecimals." Great. What the hell is a hexadecimal and why might I use it? Etc.

Good information but don't feel I've learned anything yet. I do have a programming background, just not in C++ or Java/

Although I have only skipped around in the course so far, it's definitely better than some of the other C/C++ courses currently available on Udemy (I have not yet tried any of the Java videos in this course). This course has a good ratio of theory to practice, to where the student is taught the theory first, and then brought into a coding environment for practice, While this course definitely has room for improvement, the instructor seems very responsive, promptly answered a question I had, and added several tutorials since I enrolled in this course. I have confidence that the small changes needed to make this already good course, a great course, will eventually be taken care of, which will make the $99 price-tag an absolute steal. I will update this review upon completion of the course, though as it stands now, I would recommend this course to others. If you want to learn the fundamentals of programming with important and "bedrock" languages that will make it easier to not only better comprehend other languages, but also give you a good foundation in the languages covered, then this is definitely the course you want.
