Course Description
This is a complete course on Calculus 1 that is presented via lectures. For each of the regular lectures you will have an assignment as well as solutions to that assignment. At the very end of the course there is a final exam that you can take. In order to prepare for the final exam I have included a final exam review lecture that you can watch.
This course includes the following.
25 High Quality Lectures
25 Assignments with Solutions - one for each regular lecture.
A Final Exam Review Lecture
A Final Exam with Solutions
2 Additional Extra Lectures
The best way to watch these lectures is to be an active participant, the same way you would if you were taking a real class in an actual classroom. Here are some tips to make your learning experience better.
Work at your own pace and have fun with the lectures:) This is rule #1!
Take notes! You don't have to do this but it will greatly increase how much you actually retain from the lectures.
Work through the assignments at the end of each lecture. These were carefully constructed so that you have some way to test your knowledge.
Watch the Final Exam Review! This is a very good review and if you can understand this review then you can do very well on the final exam. The final exam was very carefully constructed so that this would happen.
I hope you enjoy these lectures. I think you will learn a lot from them, even if you don't take notes:)
Good luck and have fun!

The Math Sorcerer
I was born on a small unnamed Island in the Pacific Ocean inhabited mostly by natives who practiced mathematics on a daily basis.
My mother was a witch who specialized in Calculus and my father was a warlock who was well versed in the dark arts of Algebra.
As I grew older so did my thirst for knowledge, and so I set out on a long voyage to improve my mathematical skills. I traveled the world for years and learned a great deal of mathematics, but it wasn't until I met that raging Hobbit that my true powers started to show.
I am here today to share my magical powers with you.
Come join on me on this journey as we explore the world of mathematics together.

The first video is a bit repulsive. He seems very excited and the sound quality is terrible. He wiped the board with his hand and he jumps around. I found it very jarring. I do like his videos on YouTube, but it seems to be a different personality

Honestly Math sorcerer is making calculus fun! Like he's upbeat and stuff when teaching and that's new to me. Most of my math courses weren't very fun and sorta bland but I'm learning and understanding this much easier especially with how he's engaging his students!

This course was excellent! I was using it as a supplement to my Calc 1 course at a community college which had zero lectures, and then as a review and prep for Calc 2. The professor's enthusiasm added so much to my learning of the concepts presented and I found that I was excited to get to the next lecture and learn more. The explanations were very clear and thorough and I appreciated the times when the professor would tell us hints and insights about the material that he'd figured out later on after he'd gained more perspective and knowledge about the topic through additional classes. Looking forward to learning more calculus from The Math Sorcerer! :)

this is an amazing course to all who wish to self study calculus (or have it in class I suppose) Being able to join in a class room of an amazing teacher is great and you truly get the feeling of being in campus. It is especially valuable if you buy a second hand calculus book as nothing beats a good book. that being said having all chapters explained in detailed by an expert makes learning a lot more fun.

I had taken calculus 1, 8 years back. When I switched majors from medicine to computer science, there was a requirement for calculus 2. You cannot do calculus 2 without knowing calculus 1, PERIOD! I decided to take on this refresher course and studied each chapter diligently and it took about 1.5 months. Took calculus 2 then as a Summer class at my university and got an A. Yeah calculus 2 is difficult but if your calc 1 is not strong, you're going to have a hard time. 10/10 for this course!

I completed the course. I can safely say that I know Calc 1 now. Granted I finished his other calc courses as well. What makes this calc 1 course unique is that it's filmed in a classroom setting. I highly recommend the course for anyone wanting to know or brush up on Calc 1.

I don't know why my own calculus instructor can't take the time to draw a graph to illustrate a problem or give a little context for understanding, but that is just what the "Math Sorcerer" does here in the same amount of time. Bravo, and thank you for taking the time to explain math, oh great math sage!

While only on Section 3, I am *very* impressed. So rare to see an instructor who is enthusiastic about the subject being taught and energetic in engaging with the students. On top of that, the Math Sorcerer explains the concepts in a clear and easily understandable manner.

I’m 8 minutes into the first lecture- and I love the professor’s energy and how he articulates his ideas with the class, looking for new ways to explain the same thing, something MANY professors fail to do. I’m looking forward to using the rest of his lectures

This is the professor I WISH I had when I first went to take this course! I'm finally getting clarity on concepts that were breezed over or otherwise left untouched. Entirely worth the buy, and a solid refresher on the math needed prior to diving into college physics.
