A good beginners course but in need of expansion. Challenges and Movement section get you thinking about character pose and movement. After this you are left wanting more. You feel that your skill level hasn't really improved although your perspective has been sharpened.

It starts oké, very very basic. And then comes the part of student ‘feedback’. Which is give in a laughing manner on topics that weren’t part of the course earlier. If the feedback at this point would be about the alphabet, balance and curve of a stickman, thàt would be actual feedback on the subject.

The reverse engineering section changed my mindset on drawing. Loving it so far

I have had fun drawing cartoons, but they were always more like drawings than cartoons. The art "alphabet" solved that problem. If you break every shape down to its very simple components, you get a clear cartoon representation of an object. Also, breaking down the components of a stick figure in such a way that incorporates balance and simple angles was excellent. It solved the problem of me complicating the process with too much information and self judgement when drawing action, and helped me stick just to the basics without having to have an example in front of me. (no pun intended :)) The recording section was not that helpful to me, although I did glean some good pointers about lines and basic proportions. I understand that it was extremely important for children and basic beginners who wanted to adopt the style of cartooning presented. Thank you. The course made the basic drawing information deceptively easy, and empowered me to consider balance, angles and "the alphabet" more easily in my own cartoons.

A great course to get you thinking about how to start drawing objects in real life. I especially liked the reverse engineering unit. The course was very easy to understand and follow.

I enjoyed the course very much. The most likable thing about this course is that we can take lessons as our own pace.thank you so much for making drawing fun for me.

It was good for a beginner and you can learn how to draw everyday objects, but it didn’t teach me how to draw live animals or creatures

This is a very fun way to learn drawing. I feel that I will learn a lot from this course.

Beyond all my expectations. Georges demonstrates and gets you to follow along. After just 20 minutes, I have drawn 20 cartoon items (eg trees, laptops), that actually LOOK LIKE what they are meant to represent. I love how quick and easy George makes it, while explaining his reasoning as he goes along.

Learning to draw objects from a basic alphabet was most useful. I never thought that I could do this. The set of challenges and using your imagination was difficult for me, but I somehow made it through them and was quite pleased with the results.
