Have taken multiple drawing courses on Udemy with various instructors. In my options, Ethan Nguyen is by far the best. His skill as an artist is self-evident, and his teaching method is straight forward and easy to follow. Also like the comprehensive approach to the course--how each lesson builds upon each other. Excellent course.

A good course. Although it is aimed almost exclusively at beginners, it is also useful for more experienced artists to remind them of some fundamental things that sometimes get overlooked. The lessons are short, concise and clear, and watching Ethan draw seemingly simple forms with ease but patiently is a real pleasure and very motivating. The included practice sheets are certainly a great help to any beginner.

I've bought many drawing courses online. For fundamentals, this one is by far my favorite. It offers clear examples and exercises to practice. No scribbling here. They are extremely beneficial. If you struggle with proportion and measurement and getting your drawings to just look right, this is a very good course to spend the money on.

This is a great course for beginners. Instead of showing you how to draw fancy things like other courses do, it tells you the drawing basics, which does not look attractive at the very beginning. But after practicing more, you will be able to learn how to draw things accurately. This course is a stepstone for you to move to advanced drawings.

Have lots of books and watched lots of videos but didn't seem inspired nearly as well as this course and instruction sequence has provided. Well Done!!! Actually now have the confidence, pleasure, and understanding of the work ethic needed now to meet my future [watercolour] goals.

Even though it's suitable for beginners it gave quite a lot of insights to help you become a better artist. I think it's very helpful to see the combination of work done by the teacher - including his mistakes which are very useful to see as well - especially as you see how they can be corrected to lead to pretty cool drawings. I've learned a lot and I developed my observational drawing skills through weeks of practice using the various worksheets supplied by the course. I recommend this course for beginners before they move on to other more specialized drawing courses like portrait or gesture drawing.

I loved the course. It's very helpful, especially with the printable exercises. Also, the quick feedback from the instructor... I Loved the final video of the course because how it sums everything up and puts it all into perspective... I'm looking forward to the rest of the courses in the Drawing Fundamentals Series.

I don't need so many details about sharpening and gripping my pencils until I understand the purpose of them & which pencil to start with. I feel like I've signed up for woodworking & not drawing. I understand ultimately it's important, but I just wanted to know basics so I can learn to paint, not become a sketch artist.
