Course Description
This course is several hours long and will cover OSPF at great lengths. I will explain the inner workings of this highly scalable and complexed protocol.
DISCLAIMER: Please note that the simulators/emulators used in this course are not part of the course. It is the students responsibility to have these to practice with. The Cisco Packet Tracer and/or VIRAL (Virtual Internet Routing Lab) are Cisco proprietary software and can only be obtained through Cisco. It is up to each student to obtain the simulator/emulator of their choice to study along with this course.
Students will get a thorough understanding of OSPF and how we would implement it in a real world environment.
We will discuss the following concepts OSPF terminology; process ID’s, LSA, DBD, LDB’s and much more. We will be configuring OSPF in a point-to-point and broadcast type of network and understand the differences between them. Analyze the election process of DR and BDR using loopback addresses, priority numbers or putting in the router id manually.
Once you get an understanding of how OSPF works and it’s configurations we will then go into explaining and creating multiple area OSPF and OSPFV3 and analyze them as well.
This is a lecture based course using the Touch-IT Technology Smart board, which will make learning very interactive and engaging. Hands on labs will be used to drill down the concepts learned in each lecture using Cisco’s Packet Tracer.
My method will make you feel like you are sitting in a classroom environment and give the most needed hands on experience!
Handouts will be available to facilitate learning and practice.
This course will help the student become familiar with OSPF routing using various methods and how to implement them in your environment…but it will also help in preparing for any networking certification or Computer Science Degree; not to mention the fact that for those already in the field, it will further improve routing decisions in their particular networks.

These were great videos. Easy to understand and I enjoyed the troubleshooting part. Packet Tracer is limited on what it can do and that's unfortunate because you think it's you but it's the program so you can't really take what you learn from Packet Tracer to the real world, but I would say 80% of it you can. But these were good and looking forward to more videos from him.

Good course. The repetition of the basics make this course really worth it. I see a few other reviews where people complained about that, for me it help me memorize the core foundation. -1 star because much of the time the instructor was standing in front of the board while typing commands. I really prefer the screencast method for classes over the camera looking at the board view. UDEMY IF YOU ARE WATCHING PLEASE STOP FORCING REVIEWS. IT SERIOUSLY INTERRUPTS MY STUDY FLOW.

learned new ways to look at things. I think the instructor should of provided in the resources the labs saved from Packet tracer instead of giving reasons he did not. so simple to do. would of helped to stay more focused on material without the extra non related material in.

I still stand with my initial assessment of "Good delivery of technical information. Good knowledge of subject." But would encourage more information about what you would encounter in a live network. Having said that I realize this is an introductory course and should be used as such. Very good summarization and advice at the end of the coursework. Also would suggest using GNS3 as simulator and better yet a live network & possibly using Visio for network diagrams which again is more realistic at least where I have worked.

He has helped me get my CCNA and also dig deep into some mystifying concepts to make them clear and understandable. I really enjoy the way he teaches and his attitude. When you hear him teach there is no doubt he knows his stuff.

It is a very complete course and Laz makes it very easy to understand I just have a feedback some time when he is standing on front we cannot see the board it would be better if he step by a little sometimes.
