Course Description

* Updated for the 2024 CISSP Curriculum  - With much better questions and detailed explanations. *

Welcome, I am Thor Pedersen, and I am here to help you pass your CISSP certification.

With over 790,000 enrollments from 209 countries, my CISSP, CISM, and Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) courses are both the “Best Selling” and “Highest Rated” here on Udemy.

Getting your CISSP certification now is a very smart career move.

  1. The CISSP certification is the gold standard for IT Security certifications.

  2. There are more than 82,000 job openings for CISSPs in the US.

  3. The average CISSP salary in the US is over USD 150,000 a year.

I think my courses are fantastic but don't just take my word for it.
Here's what some of my other students have to say about them:

  • I passed the CISSP with the ISC Book and Thor's lectures and practice questions. Enough said! (Warren, 5-stars).

  • This content helped me pass my CISSP first time! It was the main material I used for studying! Very helpful! (Duncan, 5-stars).

  • Hi Thor, I used your test and videos and passed the exam at first attempt. (Shan, 5-stars)

  • I just cleared my CISSP and all thanks to this course. This set of course from Thor Pedersen is all inclusive of everything that the exam can ask you. (Shashank, 5-stars).

  • Thor Pedersen's content is one of the most referenced by those who have passed the CISSP. (David, 5-stars).

  • I just passed my CISSP and used your question banks for study. All domains were covered and explanations on the questions were through. (John, 5-stars).

  • Thank You Thor. I recently passed my exam. These practice questions assisted me in identifying where I needed to up my game in the domains. Thank You again. (Kevin, 5-stars).

In this course you get all my easy and mid difficulty CISSP questions for:

CISSP DOMAIN 1: Security and Risk Management (16% of the weighted questions - 160 questions)

CISSP DOMAIN 2: Asset Security (10% of the weighted questions - 100 questions)

At the end of each test, you can see your total percentage score for that domain, as well as get an explanation for each question, explaining why the right answer is the right answer.

You can review each question and sort them by CISSP knowledge area, correct answers, wrong answers, skipped questions and questions marked for review.

Do multiple CISSP certification practice tests like this one, do the full 3 hours and 100-150 questions to see how you handle it, this is as much mental stamina and reading the questions right, and answering from an IT Security managers point of view, as it is the actual knowledge.

Many students do 3,000 - 5,000 CISSP certification practice questions, when I did my CISSP certification I was around the 3,500 mark.

You can take this CISSP certification practice test as many times as you want, the questions and the answer order is randomized.  I would suggest 80%+ of right answers consistently on all CISSP domains using multiple practice tests before booking the exam.

Prepare for the 2026 version of the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification Exam.

From a perspective of someone who passed the CISSP exam on their first try (with time and questions to spare!), these questions were very well-made and forced me to examine the material in great depth. I have taken away half a star because there are some inaccuracies - for example, one question tells you that computer systems are worth more than human life, while another is from a later domain. Overall, despite these inaccuracies, this is top-notch material.

Thor does an awesome job at covering the 8 domains in the CISSP. His quick sheets and study guides were also an invaluable asset during my time preparing for this gauntlet of a test. I bought a bogo voucher for the CISSP and with Thor's knowledge and experience I was sure to never run "Out Of Mana" during my second attempt which resulted in a pass! 10/10

The question level is a good start, but I suggest that the Test be 80 questions each to give four total tests instead of two. This would allow one to identify weak areas and not burn questions quickly. It allows students to revisit the material and use the following test to gauge knowledge and progress.

Questions are thought provoking and explanations are really helpful. However, some of the questions are similar to others/content could be more varied, and I'm not too confident the questions are in similar format to the actual test. A mention of how these questions are similar/dissimilar would be nice to solidify my expectations a bit more

CISSP Certification question domain 1-2 , 2020 : Q.115 An employee has been coached and mentored over months, but it has not improved their performance and attitude. We are unfortunately forced to let them go immediately. When would we lock their accounts? Grammar : you deal 1 employee : it, their, them. You need to use he, his, him

By Abdul Ghafar Rasoli on 1/5/2020

The questions for Domain 1- Security and Risk Management are low level and very basic, I was actually expecting more questions and scenarios for BCP, Risk Management, Security Frameworks and others but the questions are similar to Security+ and CEH. For those who already have CEH, Security+ and CySA, the questions will seem basic. There are also some duplicate questions in the start and end of the quiz but totally the questions are short and to the point.

It appears that MANY questions in the section (Practice Test 2, Domain 2) are repeated over and over with maybe just a minor change to the text. I would recommend coming up with a more diverse set of questions. They could also be a bit harder. I easily passed, but I don't feel they were as challenging as other test engines. If these were the only tests I took for preparation, I would have a false sense of security going into the CISSP exam. (yes, I know you encourage people to take multiple practice tests from different sources).

Great set of test questions. Although, I found one question that is confusing / misleading: Question 146: Incorrect When we are performing background checks on our new employees, we would NEVER look at which of these? Explanation When we hire new staff we often do background to ensure we minimize our risks. We can check: References, Degrees, Employment, Criminal, Credit history (less common, more costly). We have new staff sign an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement). It is illegal to check or inquire about political preference. the answer lists political affiliation whereas the Explanation lists political preference. There is a big difference between the two. Correct me if I am wrong but it is illegal to look into a person's political preference, however, a person's political affiliation can be a major concern for a company and cause them not to hire someone correct?

I wanted to use these questions to identify my weak area. However, I notice some question are repetitive. With the back button, it help me change the my answers. Perhaps, can introduce an option for user to either enable or disable the back/review button so as to help users get the real feel of exams and ensure users read the question thoroughly the first time (or the only time).

Giving this 4 stars because in both cases taking the course significantly improved my sample test score. That being said, there are questions on the test that aren't actually covered in the course material and also at least 1 answer that was scored incorrect even though it was correct - also lots of typos and repeat questions over and over, could be improved
