Course Description

* Updated for the 2024 CISSP Curriculum  - With much better questions and detailed explanations. *

Welcome, I am Thor Pedersen, and I am here to help you pass your CISSP certification.

With over 790,000 enrollments from 209 countries, my CISSP, CISM, and Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) courses are both the “Best Selling” and “Highest Rated” here on Udemy.

Getting your CISSP certification now is a very smart career move.

  1. The CISSP certification is the gold standard for IT Security certifications.

  2. There are more than 82,000 job openings for CISSPs in the US.

  3. The average CISSP salary in the US is over USD 150,000 a year.

I think my courses are fantastic but don't just take my word for it.
Here's what some of my other students have to say about them:

  • I passed the CISSP with the ISC Book and Thor's lectures and practice questions. Enough said! (Warren, 5-stars).

  • This content helped me pass my CISSP first time! It was the main material I used for studying! Very helpful! (Duncan, 5-stars).

  • Hi Thor, I used your test and videos and passed the exam at first attempt. (Shan, 5-stars)

  • I just cleared my CISSP and all thanks to this course. This set of course from Thor Pedersen is all inclusive of everything that the exam can ask you. (Shashank, 5-stars).

  • Thor Pedersen's content is one of the most referenced by those who have passed the CISSP. (David, 5-stars).

  • I just passed my CISSP and used your question banks for study. All domains were covered and explanations on the questions were through. (John, 5-stars).

In this course you get all my easy and mid difficulty CISSP questions for:

CISSP DOMAIN 5: Identity and Access Management (IAM) (13% of the weighted questions - 132 questions)

CISSP DOMAIN 6: Security Assessment and Testing (12% of the weighted questions - 108 questions)

At the end of each test, you can see your total percentage score for that domain, as well as get an explanation for each question, explaining why the right answer is the right answer.

You can review each question and sort them by CISSP knowledge area, correct answers, wrong answers, skipped questions and questions marked for review.

Do multiple CISSP certification practice tests like this one, do the full 3 hours and 100-150 questions to see how you handle it, this is as much mental stamina and reading the questions right, and answering from an IT Security managers point of view, as it is the actual knowledge.

Many students do 3,000 - 5,000 CISSP certification practice questions, when I did my CISSP certification I was around the 3,500 mark.

You can take this CISSP certification practice test as many times as you want, the questions and the answer order is randomized.  I would suggest 80%+ of right answers consistently on all CISSP domains using multiple practice tests before booking the exam.

Prepare for the 2026 version of the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification Exam.

for detailed explanation, would be good if can have line break or paragraph to read the explanation of the wrong answer. Reading a block of text is very texting for the eye!

By Shailendra Kumar on 6/19/2024

Explanation of a question states LDAP is not an authentication protocol (Kerberos is a protocol). In another question, it states LDAP is a protocol. This is confusing.

By Ted James on 5/23/2023

These are good knowledge-based questions. I would like to see some experience-based questions. Too many questions about know/have/are. A few questions should suffice. Some questions appear to be duplicates of others, only restated in a different way. In one case, it's only one or two words.

By Agustin Preciado on 3/22/2023

A good set of questions to ensure you have the basic concepts of the domains before attempting the more intuitive questioning.

By Mohammad Zeidan on 3/15/2022

Provides a baseline to know what areas need focus, but don't rely on the easy question to prepare for exam.

By Melissa Purinton on 9/24/2020

Noticed a few questions referenced a "phase" of pen testing but then did not give one of the 6 phases but rather types of testing that would occur in those 6 phases. For example, a few called "Escalate Privileges" or "Browsing" as phases when the phases are - 1) Planning 2) Recon 3) Scanning 4) Vuln Assessment 5) Exploitation 6) Reporting. I think if these are reworded, they may be easier for students studying to understand.

I can see some of the questions repeated from video contents. I request to have different questions in certification practice instead. I feel it will be even worth it. Thank you so much - so far I feel better clearing your questions.

By Rick Williams on 9/6/2018

Thor is a great trainer and covers the course in depth and keeps your interesting (opposed to a monologue of reading slides on a screen). I passed my CISSP first time thanks to these videos and the books. Remember, as Thor says, you need to do many exam test questions even though they do not represent the current exam they will prepare you well.

By Kumar Koppireddy on 8/14/2018

I really liked his practice questions, the way he makes our concepts clear and focuses on the things we need to know in each domain. If you are appearing for the test and just wanna test your skills these tests are best. I definitely recommend these tests.

By Patrick Chike on 5/25/2018

The courses have been informative and the tests do a good job of testing what was learned and teaching how to approach questions on the exam, both from the way the questions are structured to the stamina needed to finish the exam. I am enjoying the courses.
