What our other students are saying about our "CISSP practice questions #2" Course:
I passed the CISSP with the ISC Book and Thor's lectures and practice questions. Enough said! (Warren, 5-stars)
Hi Thor, I used your test and videos and passed the exam at first attempt. I scored your tests above 75% and real test was bit challenging than them. Thank you Shan (Shan, 5-stars)
I just passed my CISSP and used your question banks for study. All domains were covered and explanations on the questions were through. (John, 5-stars)
Of all the practice tests have paid for this one is the most helpful because it gave precise results so I am able to focus on the week points. I also appreciate how quickly Thor updated the test to reflect the new CAT style exam. (Kim, 5-stars)
This is my third course experience and Thor is my third instructor. I gave Thor a 5-star because of his knowledge, his grasp of English language, and his attitude. I love how Thor can explain complicated concepts clearly and make them easy to understand. I love how humble and polite his attitude is. I also like the fact that he is attentive and responsive to my questions. (Jin, 5-stars)
At the end of each test, you will get an explanation for each question, explaining why the right answer is the right answer.
You can see the total percentage score for the entire test as well as a weighted percent score for each of the 8 CISSP domains.
You can review each question and sort them by CISSP knowledge area, correct answers, wrong answers, skipped questions and questions marked for review.
The questions on these tests have the same domain weight as the real CISSP exam does
Security and Risk Management – 20 questions per test (40 total)
Asset Security – 13 questions per test (26 total)
Security Engineering – 15 questions per test (30 total)
Communications and Network Security – 15 questions per test (30 total)
Identity and Access Management (IAM) – 16 questions per test (32 total)
Security Assessment and Testing – 14 questions per test (28 total)
Security Operations – 20 questions per test (40 total)
Software Development Security – 12 questions per test (24 total)
Do multiple CISSP certification practice tests like this one, do the full 3 hours and 100-150 questions to see how you handle it, this is as much mental stamina and reading the questions right, and answering from an IT Security managers point of view, as it is the actual knowledge.
Many students do 3,000 – 5,000 CISSP certification practice questions, when I did my CISSP certification I was around the 3,500 mark.
You can take this CISSP certification practice test as many times as you want, the questions and the answer order is randomized. I would suggest 80%+ of right answers consistently on all CISSP domains using multiple practice tests before booking the exam.
Prepare for the 2026 version of the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification Exam.

It was unlike what it said to me "Easy/Mid" but it was too confusing in some of the questions and more English than technical in my opinion. I hope the real life exam wont be like it!!! Further it was knowledgeful and challenging and covers everything learned in the courses.

I really appreciate all the work that has been done and the questions covers and explains all the topics well. In most of the questions, when I read the explanation for the question, the correct and the incorrect, they are written as one paragraph, and distinguishing between the different answers takes more effort, and it is not easy to read. Additionally, I have read some questions that were phrased incorrectly, or not in a clear way where the answer was clear (I used google Gemini to confirm and help me understand). All in all, the mock test was great, and I will definitely continue using the practice exams

Good test of my knowledge, first attempt I didn't make it but after I went through the questions and answers I realised where my mistakes were and learnt from that. I passed the 2nd attempt with flying colours - made me feel less demotivated. Also realised I need to slow down and actually read and re-read what the question is asking before answering.

Took the exam. These mock exam questions did not help at all. Not a single question was even close to the actual test questions. Very disappointing. I passed in the end (and that's why I gave a 2-star rating) but indeed these questions contributed nothing to it.

A few questions/answers leave room for interpretation. E.G the question if a trojan is a virus. Even AV companies have different oppinions here. Some questions are phrased ambiguosly. E.g. if my safest / only safe cable is also the most expensive, and the question asks for a save and CHEAPEST in bold letters, each option available is contradicting one of the premises, safe and cheap- where cheap was made to look more important- but the correct answer was looking for only for safe.

Question 96 The explanation repeats the question. Question 112 Motion Detectors (Detective, Deterrence): Used to alert staff by triggering an alarm (silent or not). Someone is here, did an authorized person pass the checkpoint? IF yes, then log the event and do nothing else - IF no, then alert/alarm. Basic ones are light-based - They require light, making them not very reliable. I don't see the explanation is related to deterrent? Should it be preventative and detective?

While studying for the CISSP exam, I had a very tough timeline, as I was moving countries and just had accepted a job offer. When I started studying, I felt a considerable amount of gaps between the knowledge I acquired through my professional experience, and what was needed for the CISSP certification, even having ten years' experience in IT, mostly in software engineering and engineering management. I bought the (ISC)2 CISSP Certified Information Systems Security Professional Official Study Guide from Sybex, as well as Boson questions and CISSP Pocket Prep. These are incredible sources for different purposes: - Sybex's book was helpful as a deep-dive on the domains I felt less confident with; - Boson questions were extremely technical and harder than the exam, which overprepared me; - CISSP Pocket Prep app was surprisingly helpful to help to keep some content fresh in the head while you progress with the other domains. Although, the myriad of content you can get access to is quite overwhelming, so a good strategy, in my humble opinion, is to prioritise the domains which you are less familiar with. What made the difference for me to understand all these gaps and how the domains are entwined was Thor Pedersen's Udemy courses. His methodology and approach to teaching were, without a doubt, fundamental for me passing the exam. I watched all the four courses about the eight domains and bought two of the 150 simulation exams. Those were the drivers and main indicators for me on which domains I should focus more. Further, after reviewing the content in-depth, I would get back to his videos to validate what I had read and tested through the practice test engines described above. I highly recommend him as a teacher, and I am sure that if you invest time watching his videos and understanding how the exam works, you will also have the same great feeling I had picking up the "provisionally passed" paper :-)

I am changing my rating on this test bank as I just took the CISSP exam in June and none of these topics or questions were represented on that exam. I did not expect it to be these exact questions but none of the topics covered here were covered in that test. This test bank has good security questions but was zero help on the actual test.
By Ravi Sarvepalli on 12/15/2018
The test is stimulating. One suggestion though..... I would prefer though if you could explain the rational behind each of the possible responses and then (Key word) why the right response is the right response. In short, it is also good to understand why the other options are not the correct response.

These tests are great. Easy to take on mobile devices, answers are accurate. For all those who called out the grammar not being correct, it is barely noticeable and does not change the ask of the question. Really enjoying them!
