"This course is a complete game-changer for anyone looking to move beyond code that just 'works' to code that is professional and scalable. The deep dive into SOLID principles and refactoring wasn't just theoretical—the 8 real-world case studies and in-browser challenges provided immediate hands-on practice. I especially appreciated the sections on identifying 'code smells' and how to systematically eliminate them. As a developer in 2025, where remote collaboration is key, this course has already made my PRs much cleaner and easier for my team to review. Highly recommended for both beginners and experienced devs wanting to sharpen their craft."

Overall the quality of course was good. It taught me good concepts of clean tests. But the course is more towards writing good unit tests. This course tried to sell itself as a course on clean code but it mostly taught unit testing. The classical topics like need for clean code, what is clean code, best practices for method writing(number of variables, method size), when to divide big methods into smaller methods, class size, some information on SOLID principles etc. I guess the name of this course should be updated to "How to write clean tests." or such course should split on two courses. But still I will recommend this course to absolutely beginners who are yet to feel comfortable in writing unit tests.

I became a huge fan of Ranga! Firstly, I took a class called 'Java Programming for Complete Beginners'. It astonished me in that the class was well structured and easily understandable! Then, I signed up for Ranga's classes. And 'Clean-Code' is one of those. This class is also well structured, easily understandable and offer a lot of proper examples!!!!!!! Sorry for my rambling(very difficult to write fluently)!!!! Anyway, this lecture is highly recommendable!!!!!!!!!

Too long and the content could be explained in a more efficient way rather than spending too much time in code. We should spend time on practices and thinking on how to solve a problem, it feels that it was more a programming course rather than a clean code patterns

I've already been on board with clean code and unit testing for a long time, but have gotten away from it, because other team members not exposed adequately. This course inspires me to do my best to expose my team members to this and learn much better these skills for myself.

I'm very happy with the content. I read "Clean code" by Uncle Bob, and even though the information is golden I'd give that book three stars because it isn't good at actually teaching you the SKILLS needed to clean your code. To do that, one needs to actually work with real code and learn how to refactor it so it becomes cleaner. The most important "mental models" I got from that book were Kent Becks 4 principles of simple design and TDD. This course let's you apply these principles to clean messy code, which is exactly what I wanted. Great course.

Very well structured course, starting from how to write clean code, then refactor and finally coding with TDD, but with a very practical approach. The only thing I would add, is about "testing doubles" (or dependencies) as well, with Mocks. This would add a valuable part to TDD section

I was one among the first set of students who bought this course. Bought this on the day it was launched. Why did I buy it ? 1. I want to learn Clean Code concepts and use those in my work. 2. The course is from in28minutes ! Just go for it. Definitely worth it !
