Well, I've been after mastering the MVC/oops model using PHP for longer than I can say with a straight face! I'm a self-taught wanna-be web developer who was just saved by this class from more future headaches when writing/rewriting url's. Ive been using URI parameters eg; action= to call controller functions and doing it with a separate controller every time instead of using one controller with several methods and executing a method simply by pointing to it in the URL eg; website.com/home/viewHome. I was doing this.. website.com/home/?action=viewHome then to get that function I had to parse_url/parse_str, pull it down, store it in a variable then execute it! Thats what I get for not having the patience to sit still and learn from those who know! ;)

The course is a good match, i felt the opening page failed to thoroughly explore reasons why page would not display the 1st time, i wasted days self exploring, troubleshooting to get on same page with the author. CI4 is very sensitive settings wise, Xampp with PHP 8 will not run as of today, I settled on PHP 7.3, i am progressing thru the course, convert raw php website to CI4 is my true goal.

David seems like a smart guy with good intentions. I learned a few things about how a Codeigniter app will be structured and the way in which the framework uses controllers, models and views. If you're familiar with MVC, you'll understand it immediately. I'm giving him 3.5 stars for his fine efforts.

No explanation about update, delete records in the database. It's very poor and the price is to much.

The instructor seemed unorganized, CI-4 was not properly covered.

Good course, I learned a lot about the changes in Codeigniter 4, thanks

Handles more about creating a dynamic page / template, but doesn't cover specific CI4 features... MVC vision is not always followed. I miss the use of partials, presenters to facilitate the presentation of database rows / objects into a view file.

The accent of the teacher and the visual content being in Spanish is a big downside. The teacher mixes up terms and seems to have no clue about database structures. The CodeIgniter part is still helpful though.
