Course Description

Over the past few years, the way we build software has changed. We went from searching docs and stitching together snippets to collaborating with AI for planning, scaffolding, refactoring, and debugging. That speed is incredible, but without a process, it can also create brittle code and confusing architectures. My goal for this course is to teach you a repeatable AI-assisted workflow for building real projects: how to scope features, write better prompts, provide useful context, review AI output, and ship with confidence. You’ll apply it by building DevStash—a knowledge hub for snippets, prompts, commands, notes, files, images, and links—using Next.js App Router with TypeScript, modern data patterns, and deployment best practices.

We'll also cover testing and code review with AI, plus the core SaaS building blocks like auth, database workflows, file storage, and payments. In addition, you'll build DevStash end-to-end with search, organization, and AI features—while keeping the codebase clean, maintainable, and production-ready.

What You Will Learn Summarized:

  • A repeatable AI-assisted workflow — from feature planning and context setup to implementation, testing, and deployment

  • How to write effective prompts that produce consistent, high-quality code instead of random trial and error

  • Structure project context files and specifications so AI understands your codebase and follows your standards

  • Build custom skills, subagents, and MCP server integrations to automate repetitive development tasks

  • Review, test, and audit AI-generated code so you ship with confidence, not just hope

  • Build DevStash end-to-end — a full-stack SaaS app with auth, database workflows, file storage, search, payments, and AI features

  • Modern full-stack patterns with Next.js App Router, TypeScript, Prisma, Tailwind CSS v4, and server actions

  • Production deployment, environment management, and migration workflows

Excellent course for developers who want to use AI as part of a practical, structured development workflow—not just for one-off prompts. The instructor explains planning, context files, custom commands, skills, subagents, MCP, testing, and deployment in a clear, hands-on way while building a real full-stack SaaS product. I especially appreciated how the course connects AI-assisted coding with solid engineering practices like review, refactoring, and production readiness. Highly recommended for developers looking to work faster with AI while keeping their codebase maintainable.

Overall, a nice course. It's a little outdated — it still uses Claude 4.6 and the old Claude Code interface. The main con of this course is that it's very repetitive. I understand that the author wanted to demonstrate the entire project creation process, but a lot of the material could have been condensed. It would be nice to have a separate, shorter version of the course that focuses only on the author's main concepts and techniques, so people who already have some experience can choose to save time and skip the repetitive parts.

I’ve learned a lot of coding through Brad Traversy’s tutorials and courses, and this course is particularly valuable because it reflects how much the software development industry is changing with AI. What I found most useful is that it goes beyond simply "vibe coding". It provides a step-by-step approach to defining project specifications, planning workflows, structuring projects, and making meaningful use of AI throughout the development process. The course shows how AI can genuinely make developers’ lives easier — not by replacing the developer’s thinking, but by helping with research, problem-solving, implementation, iteration, and productivity. It gives a practical perspective on how developers can adapt their workflow and get the most out of these new tools. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to understand how modern AI-assisted development is changing the way we build software.

This course is unique and the title is really accurate "planning to production". Some of these concepts I've stumbled along my journey using AI for coding enterprise applications and others are just chef's kiss and new to me. One thing I do not see here nor in other courses is how to migrate an existing project/app that was GA prior to the AI era and how to begin transforming it so that the future work in the app is done by AI. I would love to see that in this or another course. Regardless, this has been the best course for me whe it comes to "developing solutions with AI"

This course was pretty amazing and timely. Over the years I've take several of Brad's courses and they never disappoint. You also get some new "Skills" such as the feature skill to use in your other project. I highly recommend any of Brads work. But this one is my favorite so far. Thank you Brad for continuing to make great content.

I started learning programming 30 years ago but I never finished a project. Even though I watched courses every now and then, I don't have any practice and my time is limited, so I gave up on programming. But beginning this year, I heard of vibe coding, and was immidiately amazed. So I started paying for subscriptions then got frustrated of the costs but still, I was getting nowhere with my project. Then through Grok I found your course. I noticed your knowledge and expertise right away. I just want to thank you for sharing them! I learned a lot, and your workflow is the one I had in mind but not on a pro level like yours. Very well structured. This is the only course I watch in Udemy in under 3 Weeks. I have the feeling that I can finally finish a project. Thanks you very much again, Brad!

Finally, a clear roadmap for building with AI agents. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The structure is incredibly well organized—each module builds logically without any fluff. The instructor truly knows how to teach, breaking down complex topics like agentic coding, subagents, skills, and commands into clear, practical lessons. What I loved most was the focus on a concise developer workflow: not just using AI, but integrating it efficiently from planning to production. You’ll learn how to leverage AI tools without losing control of your code. If you want to move past “vibe coding” into reliable, production-ready agentic workflows, this course is a must. Highly recommended. Thanks, Brad!

Brad covers Vibe Coding but goes much further than that, combining advanced dev workflows using AI to assist and support. While keeping the focus on useful outcomes and components. Caveat: at this point in time the Claude Code free trial has a folder size limitation on imported Github projects. You have to subscribe to the pro tier of Claude Code or have access to a corporate OpenAI Codex license on the scale that Brad covers on this course.

I have several years of experience in software development, yet I faced challenges understanding how to effectively leverage AI coding agents without feeling overwhelmed by the extensive code they generate. This course transformed my perspective, providing me with a structured mental model that empowers me to maintain control over a codebase primarily crafted by AI. Brad delivers the content in a clear, engaging manner. I particularly appreciated his approach of focusing on planning and workflow. By the end of the course, I felt equipped with the necessary skills to manage the integration of AI tools into my workflow confidently. This course is a true 10/10; its value greatly exceeds the current price, and I believe it could easily command a higher rate. Thank you for this invaluable resource!

7years ago when I started my software engineer career, Brad's MERN stack course helped me understand the full stack architecture of a codebase, which helped me build a successful career as a software engineer. Now that AI has taken over our field, I'm glad brad created this course which will again help me boost my career. thank you Brad
