Our take
Based on the ratings of 1,182 students, a sample of their written reviews and the syllabus, as the course stood in August 2026. No course pays to be reviewed.
This is really a two-part course. Hitesh Choudhary teaches the React half: components, state, custom hooks and Zustand, plus add-on sections on Git and a JavaScript refresher of about 12 hours. Co-instructor Suraj Kumar Jha takes the Next.js half, covering routing, server actions, auth, payments and projects like a LeetCode clone and a T3 chat clone. It runs 95 hours across 356 lectures, but many sections are marked legacy and repeat older versions of the same Next.js topics, so the path you actually follow is shorter.
Reviewers praise Hitesh's teaching. They say he keeps things simple, shows how to debug a problem instead of asking you to memorize code, and is easy to follow. The complaints cluster on the second instructor. Several low reviews say he pastes code without explaining why, that his audio is poor, and that his verbal fillers grate. One student hit a 404 on intercepting routes because the lesson did not match how Next.js 15 handles params. One reviewer asks for TypeScript instead of JavaScript in the Next.js part.
Value is strong on paper. The rating is 4.5 from 1,182 reviews, with 724 five-star and 355 four-star, and about 10,000 students have enrolled. The last update was August 2026, so it is current. One reviewer calls it a lot of content for the money. It suits learners who want Hitesh's React lessons and are ready to pause, rewind and check the official Next.js docs when the project sections move too fast.
Pros
- Hitesh explains React simply and shows how to debug, not just what to type
- Covers a lot: React, Next.js, auth, payments, databases and AI integrations
- Larger projects include a LeetCode clone and a T3 chat clone
- Updated in August 2026, with new Next.js sections replacing the legacy ones
Cons
- Reviewers say the Next.js instructor pastes code without explaining it
- Audio on the second instructor's lectures is criticized, plus filler phrases and hard-to-follow English
- Legacy sections duplicate the Next.js topics, and the Next.js part is JavaScript, not TypeScript
Really easy to keep up with. super clear explanation and overall smooth teaching flow.
Listed for all levels, but you need basic HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and the Next.js projects move fast for true beginners.
What you will learn
- Master React and Next JS
- Build full-stack React and Next.js applications with modern best practices.
- Integrate AI features using OpenAI/Gemini APIs with secure server routes.
- Implement authentication and authorization using modern auth providers.

Course Description
This course is designed for developers who want to master React and Next.js by building real-world, full-stack AI-powered applications. Instead of learning concepts in isolation, you’ll build production-grade projects using modern tools like Convex, Supabase, Drizzle ORM, and secure payment gateways. Each module takes you from fundamentals to deployment, ensuring you understand both how things work and why they work that way.
You’ll start by strengthening your React and Next.js foundations - routing, components, server actions, caching, and performance optimization. Then you’ll move into backend development using Convex and Supabase to create scalable databases, authentication systems, and API layers. You’ll learn relational modeling with Drizzle ORM, manage global state with Zustand, or Context, and implement real payment flows using industry-standard gateways.
The course includes multiple AI-based projects where you integrate models from OpenAI, Gemini, and other providers to create intelligent SaaS applications. You’ll build dashboards, file-handling systems, chat assistants, automation tools, and more.
Finally, you’ll deploy your applications using modern hosting platforms and learn how to optimize them for real users. This is a complete, hands-on course that gives you the skills needed to build and ship full-stack, AI-driven web apps confidently.
This course is a one stop solution to master React and NextJS so that you can ship your next project with confidence!

The way he teach is very simple but realistic how should you do if there is a bug, this means you do not memorize the code but understand how it flows. appriciate the method of teaching

I have learned React previously from resources like -> freeCodeCamp's full stack dev curriculum. But the way Hitesh Sir introduces these things at the beginning of this course, If I had this course available at my starting journey, I might have saved a lot of time. It's really engaging and efficient starting.

It was a good learning experience specially from sir hitesh he can explain complex concepts very easliy and make them understandble. The other instructor tried to explain the concepts but sometimes it got difficult to make sense of what he is trying to explain specially in 3 full stack projects that he did other than that the course was good and topics were well planned sequentially.

⭐ Review for Hitesh (5 Stars) I usually share my review only after completing a course. However, this time is exceptional — I felt compelled to write this even before finishing it. Hitesh’s way of explaining fundamentals is truly outstanding. He has a deep understanding of the subject, along with a strong awareness of how learners think and grasp concepts. Because of this, even complex topics feel simple and approachable. What I appreciate most is the clarity in building strong foundations. His teaching style makes learning structured, engaging, and easy to follow. I’ve given 5 stars specifically because of the quality and effort Hitesh brings to the course. Huge respect and sincere thanks for making learning meaningful and accessible. ⭐ Review for Suraj (1 Star) While I appreciate the effort put into delivering the sessions, I personally found the teaching approach difficult to follow. The explanations in the Next.js section felt rushed and lacked the foundational clarity that earlier parts of the course had. As a learner, this impacted my confidence and understanding of the topic. I believe with more structured explanation, practical breakdown, and clearer reasoning behind concepts, this section could be significantly improved for students. Advice to Hitesh Hitesh, your teaching sets a very high standard in this course. Because of that, the transition in the Next.js section feels inconsistent. If possible, I would sincerely request you to either: Personally guide or revise the Next.js section, or Ensure it is delivered with the same clarity and depth as the earlier modules. Your style of explaining fundamentals makes a huge difference, and many learners would greatly benefit if the Next.js portion is aligned with your teaching approach.

This is the first time I am writing a review before finishing the course. These guys know what they're doing. But there's only one thing to say about Hitesh: He is the king of instructors. I highly recommend this course.

Although I don't want to give negative rating because we are getting too much things in very cheap but the thing is what the hell Suraj Kumar Jha is teaching? Next js part is ok but when he started the project he just copying and pasting everything and didn't explaining a single shit. Everything going above my head. Now we do this, Now we do that, Now write this but bro no one is understanding about the hell are you doing. It is all new for use and you don't give a shit on explaining about what are you doing.

I'm amazed by how easily and clearly Hitesh explains things. His English is fantastic—almost native-level, just by his accent, I'd say. (I assume he's not American, but sorry if that's a biased assumption!) I'm Mexican by the way, and I wish I had that fluency in English.

I’m loving every bit of this course. The instructors are top-notch and truly among the best in the industry. Especially Hitesh Choudhary, his ability to make even the toughest concepts feel easy is incredible. The course structure is very inviting for newcomers. 10/10!
