Course Description

When you have finished this course you will be understand how an electrical system can be designed for any construction site.

The course will go into detail on the following areas :-

Introduce the principles of operation for a site electrical system, why they need to be designed in a certain manner to achieve a system that is safe, durable & cost effective.
Look at the key elements of the electrical system including the generation and distribution systems, grounding, residual current devices & cablingShow how a lock and tag system can be used to make the system safe for all users.
Show how to size electrical cables based on the current carrying capacity and volt drop.
Providebasic guidelines of how to size circuit breakers & generators

The course consists of short videos on each key subject with questions provided at the end of each section to test your knowledge.
Who this course is for:
students wanting to learn about the real world application of electrical designelectricians who are installing and operating construction site systemssafety officers who want to understand the principles of site electrical systems and how to operate them safelyelectrical engineers of all grades

I found the course very interesting and relevant, only suggestion would be to include some real-life photos of generators, earth bars etc. sort of like a side-by-side comparison as your going through the diagrams have the system next to it so we can see the components in real life aswell as their diagram counterparts. but overall worth the buy.

i have been waiting for this for the longest time. i work with low voltage and as electrician assistant for some years and have been looking to learn more and i think this was design with my name.

This course provides a good understanding of the construction site's electrical system. It is to the points.

By Trey Tudor on 7/11/2020

Very basic overview of site electrical. Informative, but not necessarily substantive.

By William Butler on 7/3/2020

Yes, already made me question my previous understanding and apply new knowledge to current task

By Nubiany Lisa Samuel on 6/27/2020

It helped as a refresher for my basic knowledge of electrical installations

I really enjoy and learn a lot. You was too clear. the good way that you give examples and more detail. I definitely recommend everyone to take it
