Course Description
What has the power to spark revolutions, empower people, express thoughts, emotions, love, hate, and fear, and is only bound by the limits of our imagination? – Words. Words are undoubtedly one of the most powerful tools that mankind possesses. However, mastering the art of articulating thoughts into meaningful written expressions, is no simple undertaking. If done correctly, words can be used as a mechanism of persuasion. Words can be used to further career goals, relationships, business goals, and just about any other facet of life. The focal point of this course is to provide a theoretical and practical guide to the mechanics behind persuasive writing. In other words, writing with a purpose, or intent. One of the most prevalent forms of persuasive writing is found in copywriting. Copywriting is best defined as the usage of written text for the purpose of marketing, sales, or advertising. Well written sales copy, will ultimately persuade a person or group of people to take a particular action.
This course offers a comprehensive guide to persuasive writing. It also aims to inspire your writing journey and identify your purpose as a writer. We start with a theoretical overview of the characteristics of an exceptional writer, including identifying your core strengths and weaknesses. From there we dive into a practical guide to persuasive writing using a number of industry standard copywriting formulas. The instruction will be led by several hands-on exercises and examples that will help solidify the concepts we explore.
With this course, you can learn the writing craft with confidence, as several of the modules are authored by self-published author, and freelance writer – Lissette Maduro. Lissette has an extensive background in writing in the health and wellness space, inspired by her experience working as a family physician and medical advisor. She has also made contributions to the Tech and travel writing arena as she enjoys learning about new developments and is an avid traveler. Lissette holds a Doctor of Medicine Degree from the American University of Integrative Sciences. She also has a B.S. in Medical Technology from Oakwood University.
Another great feature of this course, is that you have an opportunity to gain exclusive insights directly from two Forbes columnists, who participated with YouAccel in a comprehensive Q&A session on content writing and strategy.
The first session is with Renee Sylvestre-Williams of -30- Communications.

The first part of the course was interesting and provided many valuable insights and perspectives; however, the speaker was not looking directly into the camera, which was somewhat distracting. I like how practical the second section on copywriting provides valuable headline formulas, but the pace is rushed. I would like more time to thoroughly digest each formula. I enjoy the specific examples that are given for each formula.

This course exceeded my expectations. The content was well-structured, easy to follow, and delivered in a way that made learning enjoyable. I gained practical skills I can apply immediately, and the instructor's explanations were clear and engaging. It was a perfect match for what I needed.

This is one of the best courses I've ever taken on copywriting. The premium content here can never be found on YouTube. I never knew there were other copywriting formulas apart from "AIDA". This course exposed it all. I'm happy to start the year 2025 as a certified copywriter. I'd recommend this course to anyone, any day, anytime and anywhere who wants to learn copywriting.

one of the decent course i take so far i am enjoying it, no crappy slides and randome videos that are irrelevant, the instructor is confident to face cam which is excellent

In my opinion, the course is above my expectations: so far I didn't hear about the formulas in copywriting and it helps tremendously! Renee's experience is encouraging for all of the ones who want to try themselves in any of the writing fields. Matthew has a great approach to both copywriting and marketing. Thanks to Udemy and YouAccel for creating this course!

Don't waste your time. The first two modules of the Persuasive Copywriting training course lack in substance. They provide almost no meaningful insights or practical guidance that would benefit the viewer. Instead, it felt like a prolonged introduction that served to fill up time. The useful content seems to be in "Practical Guide to Writing using Proven Copywriting Formulas". However, it has not been adapted for a video/online training format. You'd be better placed reading four blog posts. The Q&A interviews at the end feel like a lot of fluff too and unclear how they are supposed to be translatable or applicable to anyone looking to write more persuasively. The course content title's given in the interview with Renee Sylvestre-Williams are also out of order. I'm wondering if the training provider has ever bothered to watch this back either. :(

Good pace, good outline points. Part 1, section 10: What Defines a Writer (do/does singular plural error) Not having these things do (does) not determine whether you are a writer. (Not having .... do not determine) Too many small pieces, interrupted by move to the next session. A low frequency hum comes and goes throughout the presentation. Might need a high-pass filter or noise reduction processing.

I was really interested in this topic and that helped me to engage since the beginning which might feel a little bit slow but I think it is important to know, and the really interesting part is the professional view from the latest sections of this course, I would recommend it for new writers
By Fran K on 9/29/2022
General writing part of the course is too scripted and could have done with more interviews, but the section on copywriting is very good. It contains a good mixture of expert opinions, experiences and advice on techniques to create articles and get your message across.
By Raheem Fatai on 3/2/2022
This is not a bad course. One of the shortcomings is how the tutor just bombarded the course with different copywriting formulas that ends up making them unimportant. It will make more sense if the tutor removes most of the copywriting formulas in the course and leave just a few significant ones like the AIDA model and include more practical and real-life examples of how those formulas can be incorporated. In the end it's not how much but how well.
