Course Description

Featured Review:

"I absolutely LOVE Sandy! I really enjoyed this course, it gave me so many ideas and tricks with editing that I didn't know. I especially love how Sandy makes it easy to understand and doesn't move too fast making it so easy to follow along. This is my second course with Sandy and now I am moving onto the third one. She is by far my favorite photographer....I have learned so much and can't wait to try creating a Winter Wonderland shoot myself."  - Cindy Dupont

Hi and Welcome to our course “Winter Wonderland” - a new tutorial in our creative portrait series!

*** Includes Lightroom Presets, Lighting Diagrams, Posing Contact Sheets with over 600 images and Prop Lists ***

In our photo studio we have led over 50 photography workshops, specializing in creating conceptual photoshoots and in this course we will show you something really "cool": How to create an amazing series of winter inspired images!

And not only that - most of these images work best with bridal gowns - so even if it’s not winter but you want to include some great fantasy bridal images to your portfolio or if you want to offer your brides a truly enchanting shoot with their wedding dress - then this tutorial is for you!

But the best thing is - we don’t have to go out into the bitterly cold winter world, we will take you into our studio and show you how you can achieve the same results in your garage or living room and how it can be all done on a small budget!

In this course you will learn:

  • How to create a “Snow - White inspired” winter wonderland theme with the right lighting and easy props

  • How to shoot fairy lights wth the right aperture and compression

  • How to use gels and speed lights for an Ice Queen inspired look

  • How to use traditional Christmas colors like red, green, gold in your set-ups without it looking too “cliche”

  • How to create headcrowns on a budget that fit to all these themes

  • How to use props to tell a story and how to save money when buying them

  • How to enhance your winter inspired images in Adobe Camera Raw / Lightroom CC and Adobe Photoshop

  • And so much more!

So if you want to offer themed Fine Art Photography or Mini-Sessions, are stuck in a creative rut or just want to stand out from the competition with new ideas and enchanting images - then this course is for you!

So far, the technical details are explained in detail and she gives explanations for the what and whys of her approach.

By Rebecca Ybarra on 2/8/2018

Sandy always sets the scene for success and explains everything you need to know along the way. I love how flowing and organized her tutorials are and I am always learning each time. She knows her stuff and is professionally creative as much as she is insightful. Love her work!!!

By Juliya Ness on 2/4/2018

She has so many creative ideas yet at the same time explains them in a straightforward and easy way. Here she is introducing different props and setups for lots of different image styles, and I am looking forward to trying them out

By Ivan Sunden on 2/4/2018

Sandy explains the concepts of this shoot very well, starting with the lights, backgrounds and props - the sample images look amazing and I can't wait to learn the rest so I can try them out myself. Sandy is clear and speaks from experience rather than the theoretical which for me is very helpful. I like the concept of storytelling and that this course has already given me ideas for other types of shoot.

By Karp Magorian on 1/11/2018

Interesting run through of a creative photo shoot - Sandy goes through the props and backgrounds and lighting, and it's very inspiring as I'm always struggling for fresh ideas for my portrait shoots.

By Brian Schumacher on 1/11/2018

I have been looking for some new creative ideas for photoshoots and I haven't really played with props as much before. The amount of things you can do is amazing and there are lists included of all the props that are used and where they were bought from. The shoot itself fly on the wall is great and the editing section is amazing!

By Eva Nemet on 1/11/2018

Sandy starts by explaining the concepts of storytelling in photography and building you up to the actual shoots themselves. I'm a big fan of her fly on the wall type of photo shoots where you can really see what's happening inside the studio - makes it easy to visualize when the time comes to try it yourself! The subject matter provides a lot of inspiration!

By Aleena Swather on 1/10/2018

Very practical, in the studio showing the props and backgrounds and how the sets are made. As always she's very encouraging and makes me want to get out and start shooting :)
