Georgi Smarts
Hello!
I’m Georgi, though most know me as George Smarts.
I’ve spent 12 years helping Fortune 500 companies improve the way they deliver projects, solve data challenges, and work as teams. I love what I do and I enjoy teaching others how to get real results using the same skills and tools I’ve mastered over the years.
I’ve had the chance to work on large-scale international IT and data initiatives, and along the way I’ve used just about every major project management platform, productivity tool, and a growing range of AI solutions. My approach is practical and hands on. Everything I teach comes from real experience, not theory.
Here are the areas I focus on and why they matter to me:
• Project Management software tools. I enjoy discovering features that help people work together more efficiently and deliver better outcomes. I have experience with all the big players in this space.
• Data and analytics. I’ve led many data initiatives. I enjoy making complex concepts simple and helping others build confidence using data to make decisions.
• AI tools for everyday work. I help professionals understand how to use AI to reduce repetitive tasks, improve communication, strengthen planning, and make better decisions.

Well in very first moduls, i like the materials. But now, i am already in moduls 15 and as beginner in data management i think it will be better if the material not just 1 slide per videos. Because i feel boring with the explanations. It could be better if you give more visuals explanation for example about whats data manual looks like, whats middlewre data integration looks like, etc. But, thanks for create this course. I hope it'll impove someday!

It's a great course and covers a lot of information. I really liked the modules about AI. Some more hands-on practice exercises would be nice. The course feels too long. The job descriptions at the end should be provided as documentation rather than adding these as additional video material to go through. A few key jobs which see the maximum demand should only be in the videos.

Yes this course is great for me. As a data analyst I jumped into my career analysing data, building dashboards and delivering insights to stakeholders. I do a lot of data collection, cleaning and modelling. But to be better at my job and make work easier for me, in an environment where data is in silos and from different systems, I'm hoping this course gives me the practical knowledge to manage data better aside what I already do.

The Data Management Masterclass is an exceptionally comprehensive course that covers a wide spectrum of data-related topics, from foundational principles to advanced concepts. The instructor does an outstanding job of conveying complex ideas in a clear and approachable manner, making the content easy to understand even for those new to the field. What truly stands out is the depth of coverage—each topic is explored thoroughly, providing practical insights and real-world applications. This combination of breadth and depth makes the course an invaluable resource for anyone looking to strengthen their data management expertise

This is a very good and detailed course about Data Management. As a person who works on master data management a lot in my projects, this course has given me a broader view from my knowledge's standpoint. Thanks, and I can't wait to take on another course similar to this!

I'm a Web Application developer working in a company that offers Business Intelligence and Datamanagement Software and Services. I wanted to understand what the subjects in BI and DM are all about and what all the used terms like DW or ETL mean. I'm very satisfied with this course and got a lot of information - even more than I needed. George Smarts explained it very well. Thank you!

Overall, I liked the course. This is the longest Udemy course that I have taken. It requires a good deal of discipline to get through the course in a reasonable timeframe. I would echo some of the comments made by others about the repetition at the start and end of each lesson. Also, I agree the quizzes are too easy and need to be supplemented with more hands- on exercises. Some sections are more interesting and/or easier to follow than others depending on your interests and background. Data modeling and metadata were more of a challenge for me. Since there are so many modules in this course, I think the course would be improved with a glossary of terms and a summary of each module to go along with the slides. I created my summaries using the AI feature. I copied a portion of my data integration summary as an example. Definition o Data Integration: The process of consolidating data from different sources into one unified view for efficient data management. o Consolidation of Data: Merging various data to create a single source of truth, for example by combining customer data from sales and marketing databases. o Efficiency in Management: Better oversight and management of data capabilities, like using a dashboard to view key performance indicators from various sources. o Support Decision-Making: Integrated data aids in generating insights, such as leveraging sales and inventory data for forecasting. o Improved Accuracy: Minimizing discrepancies enhances data reliability, for instance ensuring consistent customer records across departments. Business Focus Alignment with Goals: Meeting business objectives over technical needs, such as using integrated data to improve customer satisfaction scores. o Operational Efficiency: Streamlining data processes, like automating report generation for sales performance. o Informed Strategies: High-quality data leads to sharper strategies, like using integrated analytics for market trend analysis. o Customer Satisfaction: Enabling personalized interactions, such as targeting marketing based on integrated customer preferences. o Resource Utilization: Better use of resources by reducing data silos, e.g., cross-departmental access to financial and sales data. Types of Data Integration 10. Middleware Integration: Middleware: Software that acts as a bridge for communication between systems, like IBM MQ. Real-time Updates: Ensures data is synchronized across platforms, such as updating a CRM and ERP simultaneously. Reduces Complexity: Simplifies connections between heterogeneous systems. Improves Interoperability: Enhances seamless interaction among various applications. Cost-Effective: Often more economical than custom coding solutions. Examples of Data Integration 12. Middleware Integration: Example: A company uses a middleware solution like IBM MQ to facilitate communication between its Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, allowing real-time updates and data exchange.

Thanks a lot for this course on Data Management! I enjoyed not only the structure, but also the visualization of the content as well as the calm and diligent way of presenting it. It provides a good introduction in the beginning which develops into very practical instructions towards the end and I definitely learned a lot!

This is a good overview course. The instructor teaches clearly and with confidence in his knowledge. You will not be a data management expert after this course, but you will have a better understanding of the principles, and you will know where to go for more information. I hope to take future courses to go into more depth on some of these principles.

The course provides a good overview how data should be handled in a company and which aspects should be taken into account, if you want to get more out of your data. It includes good starting points how to approach any improvements in data management and how to circumvent common pitfalls.
