I am currently a Senior studying a Double Major in Mathematics and Computer Science, which are my main two passions. I have so many passions and interests. They include but are not limited to Competitive programming, Math Proofs, video game programming, and machine learning just to name a few! However, I would have to say that my main passion is teaching. I really enjoy teaching to everyone, and I really enjoy when my students get that "Aha!" moment.

The presenter's handwriting is really hard and relies heavily on the virtual white board. In addition to this, the problems being solved have a bad rating on the website. This makes the user question the quality of the content. Lastly, the presenter didn't seem to practice beforehand as they many many mistakes along the way.

Excellent course. You learn fundamental computer science concepts and gain experience with C++. The approach is good, as the instructor uses LeetCode.com to go through various algorithms. And the instructor also uses pseudo code to illustrate the problem. As for the C++, even if you are not familiar with the language you will get up to speed fast on the fundamentals. You also use STL.

El Farouk Yasser is an excellent teacher. He is clear, concise, and explains everything at a super detailed level including runtime and memory usage. I'm quite familiar with C++ but used this course to refresh for and interview and it was excellent.

Before I start this course, I looked at the comments and I saw people saying that explanations and problems aren't good enough. Anyway, I started the course. Now I'm able to tell you that's actually an excellent course. I like this kind of explanation where the tutor through the code speaking your thoughts and talking with it. I recommend it. Happy coding guys! Congratulations for the excellent course! I super recommend it! :)

He parts from naive solutions that you wouldn't do if you have a different background. Personally, most of my first approaches to the problems were different. Appart from that i'm happy with it. And i am learning a lot of c++ tricks

Overall a very good course. I enlisted to practice for an actual job interview and was not disappointed. All the data structures are explained well and concise. If you have never heard of data structures this is a good place to start - but this is also a good course for revision. Some things that could be improved upon: A slightly bigger 'recusion' part would be nice. Sometimes in the notes in the videos there is a lot of crossing out, underlining and emphasizing the wrong variables/numbers/indices, these videos should be reworked. The errors always get corrected and you are left with a good video but the notes then seem somewhat chaotic.

I have been investing a lot of time reading up on theoretical concepts of data structures and algorithms. It's nice to finally find a place that talks about how to prepare for the interviews and what questions we could encounter. More than that, someone solving with you builds your own intuition, which I feel is very important in problem solving.

I think this is a great introductory course and the instructor did a great job but the problems discussed here alone are not advanced enough to give me added confidence for coding interview. It is more of a warm-up course. A more advanced follow-up course with many more difficult problems would be appreciated.

He explains each and every possible solution for every problem starting from worst approach to best approach. It's not only coding but taking a problem and breaking it down to simple steps that we can solve mathematically, then translating that into code. Would recommend to anyone who is trying to understand algorithms, how to approach problems, and how to optimize your solutions.

I have watched the entire course, I definitely like it. For me as a beginner, I needed someone to talk me through his thinking process, and indeed thats what I got. There were some areas where I couldn't follow, but thats just probably to me being an extreme beginner, but overall I could follow very well. I really enjoyed the course and the whole content is definitely worth it. Just a nice addition would be to maybe add Linked lists as well, but other than that the course is amazing, and definitely worth every singly penny I paid and more!
