It was interesting. I would appreciate a new, updated videos, and I agree with some of the below comments. However, first course I have ever taken for 3d Design, this did not disappoint. Thank you so much for this. Very knowledgeable. I did have a hard time with Project 1 within Fusion 360. I will definitely use this course for future references. Sarah

I just got a 3D printer and quickly saw that it would be nice to be able to create my own designs to print. I reviewed several software packages and found that AutoDesk Fusion (Fusion 360) was a good fit. Within just a few days, I was able to create my own design and print it on my new printer. It was just exactly what I was looking for. The instructor did a great job of explaining all the relevant tools. I could tell that there were hundreds of other capabilities with Fusion but he focused on those that I needed for 3D printing. Perfect.

The course was beneficial, and I achieved my goals. I have been using SolidWorks and want to learn this software to simplify gear making and enhance my understanding of the design process. I would recommend this course to anyone who wishes to learn quickly. Thank you for the course!

It was good for the most part, it could be updated to the newer edition of Fusion because of the toolbar changes and the names of some of the tools were under different names so it was a guessing game to make sure you were using the right tool. Some of the instructions were a bit back and forth in the timeline making some of the more tasking than they needed to be.

Some good material but he doesn't answer questions and I don't think he's even thought of this course in ages. No updates and no interaction. Also I'm sure the second project wasn't intended as a project and its just some footage he did a voice over on, after the fact, which caused him to not have the time to explain what he's doing. This course should be(at least in part) rerecorded or taken down if he cant be bothered to maintain it.

Course was decent. I appreciate the time put into it! It would be cool to see some more projects in it that are more functional. I did like the marble one. I think a reverse engineering video would have been pretty cool and helpful for a lot of people. Overall well done! Thanks!

The coarse itself is informative but the sound of 3d printers in the background is very irritating and disruptive. Lessons with stepper motor sounds in the background should be redone! The instructor doing the lesson isn't sure and makes too many mistakes that this should have been edited and shows that I may have made a mistake by choosing this person. I have been annoyed through every lesson more than learning about fusion 360. every minute I get told "This is how you do this on fusion 360 This is how you do this on fusion 360 This is how you do this on fusion 360 This is how you do this on fusion 360 This is how you do this on fusion 360 This is how you do this on fusion 360 which means half this coarse is the instructor saying "This is how you do this on fusion 360" This coarse is for beginners yes. for those who know nothing about what the program is

A lot of time is spent quickly going through functions without building any real understanding of the program. Second pass through functions spends only a little more time on function and lack building an understand of how one operation effects and builds upon another. The course's biggest weakness lies in explaining how to make edits so you can correct mistakes. This finial issue leads to frustrations and results in delayed learning.

This video goes through all the menu items in Fusion 360 and explains what they do and how to use them. It misses out any areas (such as Sheet Metal functions) that you will never use because they are not relevant to 3D printing. This was exactly why I bought the course and I thought the coverage was excellent. What I didn't realise was that the course goes further and gives you lots of tips on how to design for 3D Printing, how to use your 3D printer and how to use the slicer program (specifically Ultimaker Cura) . You really benefit from the experience of the lecturer. At the end there is a full project designing a gear chain and another designing a motorised marble machine. The course is 9.5 hours but I found that I could understand and retain the information playing back the videos and x1.75 speed, although I went slower on the projects at the end. I bought the course during one of the many Udemy 'flash sales' so it was good value but I don't think I would have been disappointed if I had paid the full price.
