Are you looking to use Jenkins pipeline as code FAST?
"With Pipelines, organisations can define their delivery pipeline through a DSL (Pipeline-as-code). Pipelines, thus, can be versioned, checked into source and easily shared within an organisation. "
"The Pipeline DSL helps you capture complex process requirements through code - thus you can try-catch on deployment failures, loop through deployments, run tests in parallel. It brings the power of a programming language (groovy) to do so. At the same time, the DSL is simple enough to capture simple cases easily without having to touch groovy code. You can capture common patterns in functions and keep them in a global library so that new applications can build on these functions rather than re-invent. "

Jenkins Pipeline as Code allows you to define and automate pipelined job processes with code. Code that can be stored and versioned in a repository which allows you to track changes over time and used by jenkins to run build jobs. If you are already using Jenkins, you should have already heard of pipeline as code but if you have not, this course will help you learn what it is, and also help you to get started quickly with it to make your life as a devops practitioner much easier. This course will help you understand and use both declarative and scripted pipeline scripts and how to use shared libraries for common code across build jobs with realtime demonstrations of the pipeline scripts.

Honestly great course! The instructor did mention that some basics of coding need to be understood to benefit from the course which I do. Amazing and detailed course which is very useful for understanding Jenkins whilst actually working in a Jenkins based role! Well done!! If you do private tutoring then would be happy to get in touch.

The only complete guide but it is just step by step walk through syntaxes. I would appreciate to have some concept in first place. For example when it is better to use declarative style and when scripting, what is best practice to organise complex pipelines etc. Also video can be shorten, first 25 sec are routines but on 100 videos they can save half of hour.

I have mixed feelings about this course. On one hand it is by far the best course on Udemy dealing with pipelines, on the other hand the presentation is lacking in my opinion. Author is showing you what each option of pipeline syntax does, but in a very limited, sandboxed way. Sort of like showing you what each individual Lego can do, but not showing you that you can build a castle or a bridge with them.

Very good and detailed course about Jenkins Pipeline as Code. The most important options are explained and showed in examples. The lecturer speaks clearly and accurate. However, I found it sometimes a bit monotonic, as all the videos are basically set up in the same way. Also some exercises or homework for the student would probably help to involve the listener.

It would be better if the author create more complex whole pipelines and demonstrate by these examples when to use which format. In that way it would be easier to understand what are the advantages and disadvantages of the two formats compared to each other, in which cases use which one. The course now is about copy-pasting code and executing it.

Such a great treat to be part of this course, not just because of the awesome content, but also the way the instructor goes all the way out to help you with all your questions and very promptly and with lots of patience. Thank you very much

This is by far the best course on udemy on Jenkins pipeline as code. I have been using jenkins for a while but was lagging behind on the jenkins pipeline as code part. I can say that this course is helping a lot to be proficient in pipleline as code. I will highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn Jenkins Pipeline as code.

Pasting code, running it and saying, "let's see what happens... it did what we expected" isn't very useful. I'd prefer to see the coding, running the code, debugging failures, talking about what's expected, why it didn't work right, what the fix was, etc. I noticed an echo "After retrying 3 times" or something like that that was never executed. No mention of why (though I figured it out, already knowing the basic material).

I am still into the first few lectures, but so far I have really enjoyed this course. The instructor is very good at presenting the content at a very easy-to-grasp pace. The course content is so far quite good. I would definitely edit my review after I complete this course. So far, its a great course for learning the pipeline-as-code thing. Regards, Asif.
